About the Role
Sapa Investment Group is seeking a skilled, reliable, and certified HVAC Technician who can also perform general handyman and maintenance work across multiple properties. This role is essential to keeping our facilities operating safely, efficiently, and in excellent condition.
The ideal candidate will have strong HVAC technical experience (residential/light commercial) along with the ability to perform minor electrical, plumbing, carpentry, painting, landscaping support, and general repair tasks. We are looking for someone who takes pride in quality work, demonstrates integrity, and can work both independently and as part of a team.
Key ResponsibilitiesHVAC Duties
- Install, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain residential/light commercial HVAC systems
- Perform routine maintenance and seasonal servicing
- Read and interpret wiring diagrams and technical documentation
- Diagnose refrigeration cycles, pressure/temperature metrics, and airflow issues
- Ensure safety standards and building code compliance
- Identify and report major repair needs
Handyman & General Maintenance Duties
- Perform maintenance and light repairs across multiple properties
- Repair appliances and facility equipment
- Conduct minor plumbing, electrical, carpentry, and installation work
- Paint, patch, and fill walls, sidewalks, and other surfaces
- Perform light landscaping duties as needed between service schedules
- Build or repair cabinets and other small construction projects
- Assist tradespeople with electrical, plumbing, or HVAC repairs
- Complete emergency or seasonal tasks (e.g., snow removal)
- Maintain tools, equipment, and organized work areas
- Deliver exceptional customer service to tenants and internal team members
Qualifications & Requirements
- EPA Section 608 Certification (Required)
- NATE Certification (Preferred)
- HVAC Excellence Certification (Optional, but a plus)
- Valid HVAC License (if required in Utah)
- Valid Driver’s License with clean driving record
- 3–5 years of HVAC experience
- Minimum 2 years of handyman or general maintenance experience
- Strong understanding of pipe and duct systems
- Ability to interpret technical data including pressure and temperature readings
- Experience with hardware tools and electrical equipment
- Basic math and computer skills
- Strong problem-solving and organizational skills
- Ability to work independently and cooperatively with employees, vendors, contractors, and the public
- Ability to read and interpret written and oral instructions
Physical Demands
- Frequent lifting of 5–50 lbs; occasional lifting up to 100 lbs
- Ability to work on ladders and in confined spaces
- Frequent stooping, kneeling, crouching, balancing, and reaching
- Exposure to varied weather conditions (extreme heat and cold)
- Exposure to moderate to loud noise levels
