Pay

• Starting at $25 per hour, based on experience
• Performance-based raises available after 30 days
• Higher earning potential for expanded skill sets and availability

Standard Schedule Options

• Monday–Friday: early mornings through 8:00 PM
• Saturday & Sunday: 8:00 AM – 6:00 PM
• 4-hour or 8-hour shifts available
• Scheduling based on availability and business needs (You can choose to work days, evenings, weekends, or a combination.)

Your Core Skillset Should Include

• General home maintenance and repair experience
• Basic carpentry (trim, door adjustments, cabinet repair)
• Minor plumbing (toilets, faucets, garbage disposals)
• Minor electrical (outlets, switches, ceiling fans)
• HVAC filter changes and basic seasonal checks
• Drywall patching, painting, and minor flooring repair
• Deck repairs, siding/soffit maintenance, basic roof patching
• Furniture assembly and common handyman requests

(You don’t need to know everything — but you should be confident in several of these areas.)

Additional Skills (Not Required, but Increase Pay Potential)

Pros with the following skills may qualify for higher hourly rates, larger jobs, or lead opportunities:

• Tile installation (floors, showers, backsplashes)
• LVP or hardwood flooring installation
• Cabinet installation or modification
• Light remodeling and punch-out work
• Framing or structural carpentry (non-engineering)
• Drywall hanging and finishing (beyond patching)
• Trim packages and finish carpentry
• Project coordination or lead experience

These skills are not required for this role, but they are valued and compensated accordingly.

What You’ll Need

• Valid driver’s license and insured vehicle that can carry a ladder
• Your own basic handyman tools (we can supplement specialty items)
• Ability to pass a background check
• Strong communication and time-management skills
• Professional, customer-service-focused attitude
• Ability to use a smartphone for job updates, photos, notes, and navigation (Housecall Pro)
• Ability to work independently and follow through with minimal supervision

Additional Expectations (Please Read Carefully)

• This role requires driving between jobs throughout the day within our service area
• Paid drive time is included; you must be comfortable being on the road
• For some projects, you may be responsible for picking up materials needed to complete jobs correctly using our text to confirm option.
• Material runs are part of the job — planning ahead and minimizing trips is expected
• You must follow company procedures for:
• Material approvals
• Receipts and documentation
• Job notes, photos, and updates
• Efficiency matters — completing work in one visit whenever possible is a key expectation

This Role Is NOT for You If:

• You specialize in one trade only (HVAC-only, electrical-only, plumbing-only, mechanical, or heavy equipment operation)
• You expect single-task jobs instead of multi-scope work orders
• You cannot confidently handle common handyman tasks like replacing a garbage disposal, faucet, toilet, switch, or ceiling fan
• You stop work when you hit a problem instead of solving it
• You rely on others to finish work that falls within normal handyman scope
• You do not want to drive between jobs or handle material runs
• You expect all materials to be pre-staged or delivered
• You dislike accountability, efficiency standards, or following procedures
• You are looking for an easy pace, downtime, or minimal responsibility
• You are not able to use a standard ladder for basic handyman tasks.

Straight Talk (How We Operate)

We send one pro to handle varied work orders whenever possible. If a task falls within normal handyman scope, we expect it to be completed without rescheduling or handing it off. Sending multiple pros to finish basic tasks hurts our clients and our team — and that’s not how we operate.
