Handyman/Laborer

Overview
Help us take care of our homestead. If you are a jack of all trades, know carpentry, fence building, chainsaws and cutting wood, along with any other construction related experience and/or mechanical experience, we are looking for you! This role offers an exciting opportunity to apply your practical skills across a variety of maintenance and repair projects. You’ll be helping us buld out our facilites, maintain what we have and never be bored in the process.

Duties

• Perform general repairs and maintenance tasks including carpentry, plumbing, electrical work, and painting to uphold facility standards
• Use hand and power tools to build, repair and maintain
• Conduct inspections of buildings, equipment, and facilites to identify potential problems before they escalate and keep the place looking good!
• Maintain equipment and vehicles
• Misc. chores involving gardens, farm animals, fences, trees, lawn, landscaping and more..... all while ignoring the cold and heat : )

Skills

• Proven hands-on experience in general maintenance or construction work
• Ability to operate power tools and hand tools safely and effectively
• Strong problem-solving skills with an eye for detail when diagnosing issues using devices like the ohmmeter
• Excellent physical stamina to perform manual tasks including lifting, bending, climbing, and standing for extended periods
• Good communication skills to understand instructions clearly and work collaboratively with team members
• Knowledge of safety procedures relevant to maintenance work environments
• Basic understanding of electrical systems and troubleshooting techniques is preferred

Pay: $17.00 - $22.00 per hour
