Handyman/Laborer

Job Summary
We are seeking a motivated and versatile Handyman/Laborer to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for performing a wide range of maintenance, repair, and construction tasks across various projects. Your hands-on skills and proactive approach will ensure that job sites are safe, efficient, and well-maintained. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work on diverse projects, from small repairs to large-scale renovations, contributing directly to the success of our operations.

Duties

• Perform general maintenance and repair work on buildings, fixtures, and structures using hand tools and power tools.
• Assist with construction activities such as framing, drywall installation, flooring, tile laying, and masonry work.
• Operate heavy equipment safely for site preparation or material handling when necessary.
• Read blueprints, schematics, and construction plans to accurately execute tasks like fixture installation, door hanging, or cabinetry.
• Conduct inspections of construction sites to ensure safety standards are met and work is progressing according to plans.
• Assist with restoration projects including plastering, stucco application, caulking, and painting.
• Support fabrication and installation of various building components such as glass panels, countertops, or hardscape features.

Skills

• Proficiency in using hand tools, power tools, and heavy equipment safely and effectively.
• Experience with blueprint reading and understanding schematics for accurate project execution.
• Knowledge of construction management principles and estimating processes.
• Skilled in diverse trades including carpentry (frame carpentry, trim carpentry), roofing, masonry, welding, flooring installation, tile laying, and concrete finishing.
• Familiarity with plumbing and electrical systems for troubleshooting or minor repairs.
• Ability to operate equipment such as forklifts or other machinery related to construction site activities.
• Strong problem-solving skills with attention to detail; able to follow detailed instructions and safety protocols.
