Handyman/Painter

Overview
We are seeking a motivated and versatile Handyman/Painter to join our dynamic maintenance team. This role offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to a variety of residential and commercial renovation projects, ensuring properties are well-maintained, visually appealing, and functional. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in construction, painting, and general repairs, with a passion for transforming spaces and delivering high-quality craftsmanship. This paid position provides valuable hands-on experience in diverse aspects of building maintenance and renovation.

Duties

• Perform residential and commercial painting using various techniques such as airless paint spraying, brush, roller, and specialty finishes while applying color theory principles for optimal results
• Utilize hand tools, power tools, and welding equipment to complete repairs, fixture installations, and surface preparations including plastering, caulking, and trim carpentry
• Read blueprints, schematics, and construction drawings to accurately execute renovation plans and ensure precise work aligned with project specifications
• Conduct masonry work such as stucco application, concrete finishing, and basic framing or carpentry tasks for remodeling projects
• Assist with restoration projects by repairing or replacing damaged surfaces, restoring fixtures, or performing maintenance on building systems
• Estimate construction costs and materials needed for projects through construction estimating techniques
• Maintain safety standards on construction sites by following protocols related to scaffolding, industrial painting practices, and the use of personal protective equipment

Experience

• Proven handyman experience with a strong background in both residential and commercial painting projects
• Hands-on experience working on construction sites with knowledge of renovation processes and building maintenance
• Skilled in the use of hand tools, power tools, scaffolding, and welding equipment
• Familiarity with reading blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings for accurate project execution
• Knowledge of color theory for effective interior and exterior painting applications
• Experience with various painting techniques including airless spray systems and industrial coatings
• Basic math skills for measurements and estimating project requirements
