Harassment Prevention Training Instructor

Position Type: Contract / Per Diem Reports To: Project Manager Physical Location Required: On-site - Boston/Massachusetts area Anticipated Start: September 2026 Contract Period: September 2026 – December 2026
Position Overview: The Harassment Prevention Training Instructor is responsible for the in-person delivery of all harassment prevention training sessions to employees across two distinct tracks — one for managers and supervisors, and one for non-supervisory staff. The Instructor must be a skilled, engaging facilitator with demonstrated experience in workplace training and a proven ability to connect with diverse, blue-collar, unionized employee populations. The Instructor must be available for the initial pilot session and for all assigned sessions through December 2026, as well as any interviews requested by MWRA during the selection process.
Key Responsibilities
Training Delivery
  • Deliver in-person harassment prevention training sessions to managers/supervisors and non-supervisory employees in separate cohorts
  • Deliver the initial pilot session to senior leadership team and incorporate feedback
  • Facilitate up to 70 in-person sessions across the contract period, including makeup sessions as needed
  • Maintain consistent, high-quality content and delivery across all sessions
  • Adapt facilitation style to varying experience levels, backgrounds, and roles within the audience
Content & Facilitation
  • Deliver customized curriculum aligned with policies and Code of Conduct
  • Use engaging adult learning techniques including discussion, scenario-based learning, role-playing, case studies, and Q&A
  • Ensure all sessions are interactive and accessible to all participants including ADA compliance
  • Distribute and collect any required participant materials or evaluations per session


Required Qualifications
  • Minimum 7 years of experience in adult education and training
  • Demonstrated experience delivering workplace harassment prevention training
  • Experience training unionized, blue-collar, or trade-based workforces
  • Strong platform skills — ability to engage and hold the attention of reluctant or skeptical learners
  • Experience delivering training to both management and non-management audiences
  • Ability to be physically present at facilities in Massachusetts for all assigned sessions September through December 2026
  • Must be available for pilot session, potential demonstration, and interviews week of June 1, 2026
Preferred Qualifications
  • Prior experience training employees at water utilities, public authorities, or government agencies
  • Knowledge of Massachusetts harassment prevention law (M.G.L. c. 151B) and EEOC guidelines
  • Experience training workforces of 1,000+ employees across multiple locations
  • HR certification, legal background, or employment law training (PHR, SPHR, JD, or equivalent)
  • Bilingual capabilities a plus given workforce diversity
