Position Summary
The Bartender is a skilled front-of-house service professional responsible for delivering polished, consistent, and engaging bar service. This role requires strong technical execution, product knowledge, and the ability to balance speed with precision.
The ideal candidate has prior experience in high-volume operations while maintaining elevated technique and presentation.
Essential Functions
Bar Service & Guest Experience

Greet guests in a warm, professional manner and create an inviting bar atmosphere.

Prepare, mix, garnish, and present beverages according to established recipes, standards, and portion controls.

Describe, recommend, and educate guests on cocktails, spirits, wine, beer, and food offerings.

Verify guest identification, monitor alcohol consumption, and act appropriately in accordance with responsible service standards.

Maintain composure and professionalism during high-volume service periods.
Product Knowledge & Execution

Demonstrate a strong working knowledge of spirits, cocktails, wine, and beer.

Execute cocktails with consistency, accuracy, and attention to presentation.

Maintain quality standards while adapting to volume and service demands.

Stay current on menu offerings, seasonal cocktails, and promotional features.
Bar Setup, Stocking & Organization

Maintain proper and adequate bar setup daily, including stocking beer, wine, spirits, glassware, garnishes, and supplies based on projected volume.

Prepare, cut, store, and rotate fresh fruit, vegetable garnishes, juices, and other perishables to ensure quality and freshness.

Keep the bar, storage areas, and workstations clean, organized, and compliant with health and safety standards.

Perform opening and closing duties, including monthly inventory duties as assigned.
Team & Operational Support

Communicate effectively with servers, management, and support staff to ensure smooth service flow.

Attend required meetings and ongoing training sessions.

Perform general cleaning and side work as assigned.

Complete additional duties as needed to support overall bar and restaurant operations.
Internal Relationships

Reports to Restaurant General Manager.

Works closely with Front of House, Culinary, and Stewarding teams.
External Relationships

Has regular interaction with restaurant members and guests.
Qualifications

Working knowledge of beverage preparation, bar operations, and service standards.

Strong foundation in spirits, cocktails, wine, and beer.

Ability to multitask effectively while maintaining accuracy and presentation.

Professional demeanor and strong guest engagement skills.

Proficiency with POS systems.

Ability to communicate clearly in English with guests and team members.
Education & Experience Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent preferred.

Prior bartending experience required; luxury or high-volume resort experience preferred.

Food Handler certification required.
-
Responsible Vendor Alcohol Certification required where applicable.

CPR and/or First Aid certification preferred.
Physical Requirements

Lifting 50 lbs. maximum with frequent lifting and carrying of objects weighing up to 25 lbs. It requires walking or standing to a significant degree, as well as reaching, handling, feeling, talking, hearing, and seeing.
