Hardscape Crew Lead

Job Summary
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Hardscape Crew Lead to oversee and coordinate all aspects of hardscape construction projects. In this role, you will lead a team of skilled craftsmen to deliver high-quality outdoor living spaces, including patios, walkways, retaining walls, and other masonry features. Your leadership will ensure projects are completed safely, efficiently, and to the highest standards of craftsmanship. Duties

• Lead and supervise a crew of hardscape specialists, ensuring tasks are completed on time and within scope.
• Plan daily work schedules, assign tasks, and monitor progress to meet project deadlines.
• Ensure all work complies with safety standards, building codes, and project specifications.
• Oversee the use of hand tools, power tools, heavy equipment, and fabrication equipment to execute masonry and concrete work.
• Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and construction drawings to guide project execution.
• Coordinate with project managers, clients, and subcontractors to facilitate smooth workflow and communication.
• Conduct construction inspections to verify quality control and adherence to design plans.
• Manage material procurement, inventory control, and site logistics for efficient operations.
• Provide mentorship and training to crew members on technical skills such as concrete forming, masonry techniques, stucco application, tile laying, and more.
• Utilize Bluebeam software for digital plan review and project documentation.

Experience

• Proven experience in construction site management with a focus on hardscape or masonry projects.
• Extensive knowledge of construction estimating, blueprint reading, and schematics interpretation.
• Skilled in using hand tools, power tools, heavy equipment operation, and fabrication techniques relevant to hardscape installation.
• Familiarity with construction inspection procedures ensuring quality standards are met consistently.
• Background in related trades such as carpentry (trim carpentry), roofing, plastering, welding, or restoration is a plus.
• Strong understanding of plumbing and electrical systems as they relate to outdoor features is advantageous.
• Experience working with construction management software like Bluebeam is preferred.
• Ability to lead a team effectively while maintaining safety protocols on active job sites. Pay: $28.00 - $45.00 per hour
