HCL Domino Administrator

Project Overview

The contractor will provide staff augmentation support to the DFA Network Team, focusing on HCL Domino Server and Notes administration.

The primary objective of this engagement is to:

• Upgrade existing production and development Domino servers from Version 12 to Version 14.X
• Support servers operating in a Windows Server environment
• Implement Domino Leap and Domino Nomad
• Convert multiple legacy applications to the latest supported versions
• Integrate Domino applications with existing IBM DB2 databases via ODBC connectivity

The consultant will ensure system stability, security, performance optimization, and knowledge transfer throughout the project lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform Domino Server upgrades from version 12 to 14.X in production and development environments
• Administer and support HCL Notes clients (v12 and v14.5)
• Implement and configure Domino Leap and Domino Nomad
• Convert and modernize existing Domino applications
• Integrate Domino systems with IBM DB2 databases using ODBC
• Provide patching, troubleshooting, and performance optimization
• Support Windows Server infrastructure hosting Domino environments
• Apply security best practices including certificate and public key management
• Support VPN connectivity and secure remote access configurations
• Perform system documentation and provide knowledge transfer to internal teams

Required Skills and Experience

To be considered, all consultants must meet the following mandatory requirements:

Education

• Four-year degree from an accredited institution in:
• Computer Science
• Information Technology
• Systems & Network Administration
• Or related IT field

Mandatory Experience

• 5+ years of Domino administration and HCL Notes support (including version upgrades and patching)
• 5+ years of network infrastructure experience
• 5+ years of Windows Server administration experience
• 5+ years of DB2/ODBC integration experience
• 5+ years of overall IT experience
• Excellent English verbal and written communication skills
• Strong documentation and knowledge transfer capabilities

Pay: $70.00 per hour

Work Location: Remote
