HDD Bore Foreman

Overview
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced HDD Bore Foreman to lead and oversee horizontal directional drilling (HDD) operations for pipeline projects. This vital role involves managing field crews, ensuring safety compliance, and maintaining project quality and efficiency. The ideal candidate will possess strong construction management skills, extensive experience in HDD and construction site supervision, and a deep understanding of technical schematics, blueprints, and construction estimating. As a HDD Bore Foreman, you will drive project success by coordinating resources, supervising daily activities, and ensuring adherence to safety standards and project specifications.

Responsibilities

• Lead and supervise HDD drilling crews on construction sites, ensuring safe work practices and compliance with OSHA regulations.
• Oversee the installation of pipelines using HDD techniques, adhering to project schedules and budgets.
• Read and interpret schematics, blueprints, and construction drawings to guide installation processes accurately.
• Coordinate with project managers, engineers, and subcontractors to ensure seamless workflow and timely completion of tasks.
• Utilize construction management software such as ProCore, Primavera P6, HeavyBid, Bluebeam, and Primavera to develop schedules, track progress, and manage project documentation.
• Conduct quality control inspections to verify work meets project specifications and safety standards.
• Manage procurement of materials, review contracts, and oversee budgeting activities related to HDD operations.
• Supervise field personnel by providing training on construction site procedures, schematics interpretation, use of tools like ohmmeters, and safety protocols.
• Maintain accurate records of daily activities, incident reports, safety audits, and project logs for accountability and reporting purposes.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in construction management with a focus on HDD or pipeline installation projects.
• Supervising experience in heavy civil or pipeline construction environments.
• Strong knowledge of construction estimating software such as HeavyBid; scheduling tools like Primavera P6; and construction management platforms including ProCore and Bluebeam.
• Familiarity with OSHA safety standards and best practices for construction sites.
• Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings with precision.
• Skilled in project scheduling, budgeting, contract management, and quality control processes.
• Proficiency in using construction site tools including ohmmeters for electrical testing.
• Excellent management skills with the ability to lead teams effectively while maintaining high safety standards.
• Construction site experience with a focus on pipeline or underground utility projects is highly preferred. Pay: $25.40 - $30.59 per hour
