Head Animator

Starby LLC is seeking a Head Animator to join the company as a creative partner. This is a leadership role designed for an experienced animator who wants to contribute at a strategic level, helping define the visual direction and animation standards across company projects. This is not a freelance or contract position. The selected candidate will operate at a partner level alongside the founders, participating in both creative decision-making and long-term development.

Role Overview

The Head Animator will be responsible for leading the animation vision and execution for Starby LLC’s productions. This individual will play a central role in shaping the company’s visual identity, animation style, and production workflows.

The position requires both strong technical animation ability and a collaborative, leadership-oriented mindset.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and oversee animation across company projects
• Establish and maintain animation quality standards and style consistency
• Develop and refine animation pipelines and workflows
• Produce high-quality animation assets as needed
• Collaborate closely with creative leadership on character performance, motion, and visual storytelling
• Provide guidance, feedback, and direction on animation-related decisions
• Contribute to the broader creative development of projects

Position Structure

This is a partner-level role, not a traditional employment arrangement. The Head Animator will:

• Participate in high-level creative discussions and decisions
• Maintain long-term involvement in company projects
• Operate with significant creative responsibility
• Receive compensation through an equity / profit participation structure (details discussed privately)

Pay: From $1.00 per month
