Head Auto Mechanic

We are seeking an experienced Head Mechanic with strong knowledge of engine and gearbox work to lead our workshop team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for vehicle diagnostics, major repairs, supervision of junior technicians, and ensuring high-quality workmanship and safety standards.

Key Responsibilities

1. Vehicle Inspection & Diagnosis

• Perform complete vehicle inspections before starting any work
• Diagnose mechanical, electrical, engine, and transmission issues
• Confirm customer complaints through test drives when required
• Prepare clear and accurate repair findings for the service advisor

2. Repair & Maintenance Supervision

• Carry out major and minor mechanical repairs
• Supervise mechanics and technicians during repair work
• Ensure correct repair procedures, torque settings, and standards
• Guide and support the team on complex repairs (engine, gearbox, suspension, etc.)

3. Quality Control

• Re-check all completed jobs before vehicle delivery
• Ensure no oil leaks, warning lights, or abnormal noises
• Conduct final road tests when required
• Approve vehicles for delivery after final inspection

4. Preventive Maintenance

• Ensure service intervals are properly followed
• Check engine oil, coolant, brake fluid, transmission fluid, etc.
• Inspect belts, hoses, brakes, suspension, and steering systems
• Recommend preventive repairs to avoid future breakdowns

5. Tools & Workshop Standards

• Ensure proper use of tools and diagnostic equipment
• Maintain cleanliness, organization, and safety in the workshop
• Report faulty tools or equipment immediately

6. Job Reporting & Coordination

• Update service advisor on repair progress
• Report additional faults identified during repairs
• Ensure job cards and documentation are properly completed

7. Safety & Compliance

• Follow all workshop safety rules and company policies at all times
• Ensure technicians comply with safety and operational standards

Pay: AED5,000.00 - AED6,500.00 per month
