- Ensuring the quality and consistency of baked goods, developing and adapting recipes, and controlling inventory and costs.
- Key responsibilities include planning production, implementing food safety and hygiene standards, training and mentoring junior bakers, and collaborating with management on menu planning and special events.
- Possesses strong leadership, organizational, and baking skills, along with a deep understanding of industry trends and customer preferences.
Responsibilities
- Production Oversight: Lead the daily production of various baked goods, ensuring consistent quality and presentation.
- Staff Management: Supervise, train, and mentor the baking team, fostering a positive and efficient work environment.
- Recipe Development: Create and test new recipes, as well as adapt existing ones to meet customer demand and operational needs.
- Inventory & Cost Control: Manage ingredient inventory, place orders for supplies, and control costs to minimize waste.
- Food Safety & Quality: Implement and enforce strict food safety and sanitation standards, ensuring all products meet quality guidelines.
- Menu Planning: Collaborate with management to develop and plan menus, including seasonal offerings and items for special events.
- Equipment Maintenance: Ensure baking equipment is maintained, clean, and operating efficiently.
Key Skills & Qualifications
- Leadership Skills: The ability to motivate and manage a team effectively.
- Baking Expertise: Deep knowledge of baking techniques, ingredients, and processes for a wide range of products. Preferably in Croissant, Sourdough
- Attention to Detail: Precision in measuring, mixing, and decorating to ensure high standards of quality and presentation.
- Creativity: A passion for innovation and the ability to develop new and appealing recipes.
- Organizational Skills: Strong ability to manage schedules, inventory, and overall bakery operations.
