Head Barista

We are seeking an experienced, passionate, and customer-focused Head Barista to lead our coffee team. The Head Barista will oversee daily café operations, ensure exceptional drink quality, train and mentor baristas, and maintain high service standards. This role requires strong leadership, excellent coffee knowledge, and the ability to deliver a welcoming experience for customers.

Key Responsibilities

• Leadership & Team Management
• Supervise, train, and mentor baristas to maintain consistency in drink preparation and service.
• Create staff schedules and manage shift coverage.
• Foster a positive and motivated team environment.
• Coffee Quality & Standards
• Ensure all beverages meet company standards for quality, presentation, and consistency.
• Oversee calibration of coffee machines and grinders daily.
• Maintain knowledge of specialty coffee trends and brewing techniques.
• Customer Service
• Lead by example in delivering outstanding customer experiences.
• Handle customer complaints and resolve issues promptly and professionally.
• Build relationships with regular customers to foster loyalty.
• Operations & Administration
• Manage inventory of coffee, milk, syrups, and other supplies.
• Ensure cleanliness and compliance with health and safety regulations.
• Assist with ordering, stock rotation, and waste management.
• Support the café manager in sales reports and operational planning.

Skills & Qualifications

• Proven experience as a senior barista or head barista in a busy café or specialty coffee shop.
• In-depth knowledge of coffee beans, brewing methods, and latte art.
• Strong leadership and team management skills.
• Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities.
• Ability to thrive under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
• Basic knowledge of café equipment maintenance.
• Passion for customer service and hospitality.

Working Conditions

• Full-time role, including weekends and holidays as required.
• Fast-paced café environment with standing for long periods.
