Job Description
The Head Coordinator is the academic and operational leader of INAE. This person will design the curriculum, build and lead the teaching team, manage daily school operations, and be the primary point of contact for parents. They will work directly with the founder and will be a visible face of the school.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and develop the curriculum for all age groups (1–2, 2–3, 3–4 years) based on Reggio Emilia, Montessori, and school readiness approaches
- Create weekly and monthly learning plans with clear developmental goals
- Hire, train, and supervise lead teachers, assistant teachers, and support staff
- Conduct pre-launch staff training on curriculum, child safety, daily routines, and parent communication
- Design daily schedules, transition routines, and classroom management systems
- Set up child assessment and documentation systems (portfolios, observation notes, milestone tracking)
- Conduct school tours for prospective parents and support the admissions process
- Lead parent orientation sessions and ongoing parent-teacher communication
- Manage day-to-day school operations: attendance, incident reporting, resource procurement
- Participate in school’s social media and marketing content (comfortable appearing in videos/photos)
- Ensure health, hygiene, and safety standards are maintained at all times
Required Qualifications
- B.Ed / M.Ed in Early Childhood Education OR Montessori Diploma (AMI/AMS/Indian Montessori Centre) OR equivalent ECE qualification
- Minimum 5 years of experience in early childhood education at the preschool/nursery level
- At least 2 years in a supervisory or leadership role (head teacher, coordinator, or centre head)
- Hands-on experience in curriculum planning and development (not just delivery)
- Fluent in English and Tamil — strong verbal and written communication
- Experience working with children aged 1–4 years specifically
Preferred (Good to Have)
- Experience setting up a new preschool or program from scratch • Familiarity with Universal Design for Learning (UDL) or inclusive education approaches
- Understanding of child development milestones and early identification of learning differences
- Experience with Reggio Emilia documentation-based assessment
- Exposure to international ECE frameworks (EYFS, IB PYP Early Years, etc.)

Pay: ₹40,000.00 - ₹50,000.00 per month
