About Us

We are a rapidly growing luxury boutique specializing in modest swimwear, high-end alterations, and the emerging niche of couture gowns. We blend Eastern elegance with Western precision tailoring. To elevate our atelier, we are seeking a female Head Tailor who is equally proficient as a Cutter and a client-facing creative lead.

The Role

You are the architect of the garment. You will lead the cutting table, manage couture alterations, and represent the brand during private client appointments. You will work alongside front-of-house staff to ensure seamless execution from fitting to final delivery.

Applicant Requirements

Experience: Minimum 5-7 years of proven experience as a Tailor and Cutter in a luxury boutique, atelier, or similar. Experience with stretch fabrics (for swimwear) and structured formal wear (gowns) is non-negotiable.

Technical Skills: Mastery in couture sewing techniques (French seams, hand-finishing, boning, beadwork application) and precision pattern cutting/draping.

Gender Requirement: Female candidates only (due to private home appointments with modest clientele).

Client Etiquette: Polished, discreet, and confident in conducting one-on-one fittings and styling consultations.

Logistics & Time Management: Ability to estimate turnaround times accurately, prioritize workload, and coordinate with front staff to meet delivery deadlines.

Proactive Attitude: Willingness to source and collect materials after duty hours (e.g., specialized laces, silks, or trims from designated suppliers) as needed for urgent or custom orders.

Job Specification (Key Responsibilities)

Cutting & Construction: Handle all first cuts for modest swimwear and couture gowns. Lead the head tailor duties for complex alterations.

Client Interactions: Attend to in-store customers for bespoke fittings. Travel to home appointments for VIP clients who request private at-home service.

Production Management: Collaborate with front staff to create realistic order completion estimates and ensure all pieces are delivered on or before the promised date.

Material Sourcing: Visit local fabric and trim suppliers after duty hours when urgent materials arrive late or last-minute adjustments are required.

Quality Control: Inspect all finished garments (in-house alterations and new couture pieces) for structural integrity and luxury finishing.
