Head Florist

We are seeking a talented and experienced Head Florist to lead the floral design and production for weddings and special events. This role combines creative leadership, hands-on floral artistry, and team management, with a strong focus on both fresh and artificial flower installations. The Head Florist will oversee floral concepts from initial design to event execution, ensuring exceptional quality, consistency, and client satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities

Creative & Design Leadership

• Lead the design and execution of floral concepts for weddings and events using fresh and artificial flowers
• Translate client briefs, mood boards, and budgets into cohesive floral designs
• Stay current with floral, wedding, and event design trends
• Ensure brand consistency across all floral work

Production & Installation

• Oversee preparation, assembly, and installation of floral arrangements and large-scale installations (arches, centerpieces, backdrops, ceiling installs, etc.)
• Ensure proper handling, conditioning, storage, and longevity of fresh flowers
• Maintain and manage artificial flower inventory, including upkeep and reusability
• Supervise event setup, on-site styling, and breakdown

Team Leadership

• Train, manage, and inspire a team of florists and freelancers
• Delegate tasks efficiently to meet deadlines and event schedules
• Maintain high standards of craftsmanship, cleanliness, and workflow
• Foster a positive, collaborative studio and event-site environment

Operations & Inventory

• Manage flower orders, supplies, tools, and materials
• Work closely with management on budgeting and cost control
• Minimize waste and maximize reuse of artificial florals
• Coordinate with vendors, suppliers, and logistics teams

Client & Vendor Collaboration

• Collaborate with planners, designers, and other vendors
• Participate in client meetings when required to discuss floral vision
• Ensure final floral designs align with client expectations and approved proposals

Requirements & Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Senior or Head Florist, preferably in weddings and events
• Strong expertise in both fresh and artificial floral design
• Experience with large-scale event installations
• Excellent leadership and team management skills
• Strong organizational and time-management abilities
• Creative eye with attention to detail
• Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and event days
• Physically capable of lifting, installing, and working on-site

Preferred Skills

• Knowledge of event styling and décor beyond florals
• Experience working with luxury or high-volume events
• Familiarity with budgeting and cost management
• Valid driver’s license (if event transport is required)
