Job Vacancy: Head of Accounts & Finance

Location: DAFZA, Dubai – UAE

We are seeking a highly experienced and reliable Head of Accounts & Finance to manage and oversee the accounting operations of our group of companies registered in Free Zone. The ideal candidate must have strong UAE experience, excellent accounting knowledge and the ability to handle multiple company accounts independently.

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee end-to-end accounting and finance functions for multiple group companies
• Manage daily accounting operations including general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, bank reconciliations and petty cash
• Ensure timely monthly, quarterly and annual financial closings
• Prepare and review financial statements, P&L, balance sheet and cash flow reports
• Develop, monitor and control budgets, forecasts, and financial plans
• Ensure full UAE VAT compliance, including return filing, reconciliation and coordination with FTA
• Liaise with external auditors, tax consultants, banks and Free Zone authorities
• Ensure compliance with UAE accounting standards, statutory requirements and Free Zone regulations
• Monitor costs, control expenses and improve overall financial efficiency
• Prepare MIS and management reports to support strategic decision-making
• Maintain accurate financial records and documentation for audits and inspections
• Supervise, mentor and guide accounting staff when required

Required Skills & Experience:

• Minimum 5–7 years of UAE accounting experience
• Proven experience in handling multiple company accounts
• Strong knowledge of Free Zone accounting (DAFZA, DMCC preferred)
• Strong knowledge of UAE financial regulations and accounting principles.
• Excellent understanding of UAE VAT laws and procedures
• Strong working knowledge of MS Excel, Tally, QuickBooks, Google Sheets
• Ability to work independently with high accuracy and confidentiality
• Strong analytical, organizational and leadership skills

Preferred Qualifications:

• B.Com / M.Com in Finance or equivalent professional qualification
• Experience in logistics, trading or forwarding companies is preferred
