Head of AI Initiatives (Fintech)

A global financial group operating across brokerage, fintech, and digital assets is strengthening its AI capabilities to drive automation, intelligence, and operational scale across the business. As part of this effort, we are hiring a Head of AI Initiatives with a strong background in financial services to lead the design and execution of AI driven initiatives across the organization.

This role requires a deep understanding of financial environments combined with the ability to apply AI in a practical, commercially focused way.

Role Overview

The Head of AI Initiatives will be responsible for shaping and delivering the company's AI agenda across trading, operations, compliance, risk, finance, and customer facing functions. The role bridges business strategy and technology execution, ensuring AI solutions are relevant, compliant, and embedded into core financial workflows.

This is a leadership role with hands on ownership of prioritization, delivery, and adoption.

Key Responsibilities

• Define and lead the AI strategy across financial services functions, aligned with business and regulatory requirements
• Identify AI use cases within trading, brokerage operations, compliance, risk, finance, and customer operations
• Translate financial and operational challenges into clear AI initiatives and delivery roadmaps
• Oversee AI pilots and production deployments, ensuring robustness, scalability, and regulatory awareness
• Partner with technology, data, and product teams to ensure solutions meet financial grade standards
• Establish governance frameworks, prioritization criteria, and success metrics for AI initiatives
• Support change management and AI adoption across finance focused teams
• Stay current on AI developments relevant to financial markets, fintech, and digital assets

Requirements

• Proven experience leading AI, automation, or advanced analytics initiatives within financial services
• Background in fintech, brokerage, trading, banking, payments, or regulated financial environments
• Strong understanding of applied AI, machine learning, LLMs, and automation in financial use cases
• Experience working with risk, compliance, and regulatory constraints
• Ability to translate business strategy into executable AI programs
