We are seeking a highly experienced Head of Buyouts & Strategic Investments to lead our private capital deployment strategy, oversee buyout transactions, and evaluate strategic investment opportunities. This role will drive disciplined investment decisions, support portfolio growth, and work closely with senior leadership on capital allocation and value creation.
Responsibilities
- Lead the sourcing, screening, and execution of buyout and strategic investment opportunities.
- Develop and implement the firm’s investment strategy, target sectors, and return profile.
- Conduct financial modeling, valuation analysis, due diligence, and risk assessment for potential transactions.
- Negotiate deal terms, structure transactions, and coordinate with legal, finance, and operating teams.
- Oversee post-investment portfolio management, value creation initiatives, and exit planning.
- Monitor market trends, macroeconomic shifts, and competitive dynamics to identify new opportunities.
- Present investment recommendations, portfolio updates, and performance reports to senior management or investment committees.
- Build and mentor a high-performing investment team.
- Maintain relationships with founders, sponsors, advisors, lenders, and strategic partners.
- Ensure governance, compliance, and internal approval processes are followed.
Qualifications
- 10+ years of experience in private equity, buyouts, strategic investments, investment banking, or principal investing.
- Strong track record of leading transactions from origination through execution and portfolio management.
- Deep expertise in valuation, leverage structures, due diligence, and financial modeling.
- Proven leadership and team management experience.
- Excellent negotiation, communication, and presentation skills.
- Strong commercial judgment and ability to evaluate complex investment opportunities.
- Bachelor’s degree in finance, economics, business, or a related field required; MBA, CFA, or similar
Preferred Experience
- Experience in buyouts, control investments, or special situations.
- Exposure to cross-border transactions, restructurings, or public-to-private deals.
- Sector expertise in infrastructure, industrials, technology, financial services, or consumer markets.
- Familiarity with investment committee processes and board-level portfolio oversight.
Pay: RO2.000 - RO6.000 per hour
