LeanLaw has achieved strong product-market fit and a refined GTM infrastructure. Now, we need a single, accountable owner of our brand and narrative execution. This is an AI-first role for a storyteller who thrives on ownership and high-velocity execution.

Role Overview

  • Type: Full-Time | Remote
  • Compensation: $72,000 – $84,000
  • Reports To: Revenue Leader
  • Priority: Hire Immediately

The Opportunity

This is not a traditional creative role, nor is it a CMO position. You are the internal owner of Brand + Content + Narrative Execution, working in lockstep with Demand Gen. You will tell our story to law firms and the legal tech community through content that educates, webinars that convert, and customer stories that sell.

AI-Native Expectation: LeanLaw operates AI-first. We expect this role to use AI aggressively to increase velocity, refine messaging, repurpose content, and eliminate bottlenecks. AI is not optional—it is core to how we execute.

What You’ll Own

You are accountable for narrative clarity and consistency across the entire customer journey.

1. Brand Voice & Editorial

  • Maintain and evolve the messaging framework and positioning.
  • Ensure consistency across the website, decks, webinars, and social.
  • Own the content calendar across all channels (Blog, Email, Social, Video).
  • Drive message adoption across Sales and Customer Success teams.

2. Content Production & AI Execution

  • Asset Creation: Write success stories, case studies, conversion-focused email copy, and landing page copy.
  • AI Leverage: Build repeatable prompt systems and AI workflows to operate at a materially higher velocity than traditional roles.
  • Engine Building: Rebuild the content engine around our new market positioning.

3. Events, Webinars & Industry Presence

  • End-to-End Production: Own the topic, speakers, decks, and promotion for all webinars.
  • Field Marketing: Coordinate trade shows (logistics, content, and positioning).
  • Thought Leadership: Support executive presence via LinkedIn ghostwriting.
  • Reputation Management: Manage presence on G2, Capterra, and Intuit.

4. Social & Multimedia

  • Strategy and growth for the LeanLaw LinkedIn company page.
  • Produce short-form video and repurpose long-form assets into social clips.

How This Role Works

You operate in a two-in-a-box model. You own the Story; the GTM Engineer owns the Distribution Engine.

Marketing Discipline: LeanLaw runs marketing work in Notion. You are expected to maintain project hygiene, track deliverables, and operate with high operational discipline.

What We’re Looking For

Must-Haves

  • 3–6 years of content or brand experience in B2B SaaS.
  • Professional Writing: Demonstrated ability to write for legal, finance, or accounting audiences.
  • AI-Native Operator: You actively use AI tools to increase leverage and velocity.
  • Editorial Judgment: Strong intuition to refine AI drafts without sacrificing voice.
  • Portfolio: Shows range across long-form, social, case studies, and email.

Strong Signals

  • Experience at a $1M–$20M ARR SaaS company.
  • Experience writing for the legal industry or professional services.
  • Background in rebuilding or repositioning a brand.
  • Comfort with lightweight video production.

Deal-Breakers

  • Generic writing samples.
  • Heavy AI reliance without editorial judgment.
  • Relying on manual processes when automation is possible.
  • Requiring a fully built team to operate effectively.

Compensation & Benefits

  • Base Salary: $72,000–$84,000 (based on experience and location)

  • Work Style: Remote-first with flexible scheduling; hybrid optional in Boise
