Head of Ecommerce - FMCG & Retail Group

Large FMCG Group Food Distribution Dubai, UAE

A well-established, large FMCG group in the UAE is looking to appoint a Head of Ecommerce to lead and scale its independent online marketplace.

Reporting directly to the CEO and COO, this is a high-impact leadership role with full ownership of the eCommerce business - strategy, operations, commercial performance, and growth.

The Role:

You will be responsible for building and leading the entire eCommerce function as a standalone business unit within the group. This includes:

• Full P&L ownership and revenue accountability
• Driving top-line growth and achieving ambitious sales targets
• Leading end-to-end eCommerce operations (commercial, digital, supply chain, customer experience)
• Overseeing logistics, last-mile delivery, and fulfillment performance
• Optimizing platform performance, conversion, and customer acquisition
• Building and mentoring a high-performing cross-functional team
• Working closely with the CEO & COO on strategic direction and expansion

This is not a "managerial" role - it is a business leadership position with full commercial responsibility.

The Ideal Candidate

• 10+ years of progressive experience in eCommerce, digital retail, or online marketplaces
• Proven leadership experience managing multi-functional teams
• Strong commercial acumen with a track record of delivering revenue growth
• Experience owning and managing a full P&L
• Deep understanding of FMCG, grocery, food distribution, or high-volume retail models
• Strong operational knowledge of logistics and fulfillment ecosystems in the UAE
• Strategic thinker with hands-on execution capability
