What You’ll Do

• Lead Financial Strategy: Define and execute strategies aligned with our ambitious growth plans
• Own and Strengthen Financial Reporting Function: Ensure accurate and timely delivery of all internal and external financial reporting
• Budgeting & Forecasting: Oversee forecasting cycles and lead annual/quarterly planning processes
• Performance Analysis: Deliver both backward- and forward-looking insights to drive business performance
• Business Partnering: Work closely with founders and business leaders to align financial and strategic decisions
• Profitability Oversight: Monitor unit economics and segment profitability, optimizing for long-term value
• Cash Flow Management: Manage liquidity, runway, and capital efficiency in a high-growth environment
• Internal Portfolio Oversight: Oversee financial operations across AppNation’s internal product lines
• Controls & Governance: Strengthen financial processes and internal controls. IFRS knowledge is a plus, but real-world financial rigor matters most
• Banking Relationships: Manage and establish relationships with banks and financial institutions
• Due Diligence: Support potential partnership evaluations with robust financial analysis
• Team Leadership: Build and lead the finance function with a long-term mindset, including future hiring
• Office & Operational Oversight: Take ownership of day-to-day office operations, ensuring efficient coordination between administrative, financial, and operational teams
  
  
  
  

What We Look For

• Experience: 10+ years in finance, ideally in both startups and either Big Four or banking. Exposure to fast-scaling companies is a big plus
• Team Leadership: You’ve built, led, or scaled finance teams and know what great looks like
• Mobile/Tech Familiarity: Experience in mobile apps or digital consumer products is a plus
• Strategic Thinking: Ability to connect financial data to big-picture thinking
• Operational Strength: You can roll up your sleeves to get things done while staying strategic. Previous banking relations and hands-on cash-flow management is a strong plus.
• Financial Acumen: Strong grasp of reporting, planning, profitability, and working capital management
• Due Diligence: Being involved in DD processes is a plus
• Communication: Clear, concise communicator who can speak fluently with both financial and non-financial stakeholders
• Tools Proficiency: Advanced Excel skills and a strong understanding of modern finance tech stacks.Experience with project management tools such as Jira, Asana or similar is a plus

The Recruitment Process

We’ve designed a rigorous yet rewarding process to find the best fit for both you and our team:

Application Review - We’ll carefully assess your CV and experience.

First Interview – A 30-45 minutes conversation with our Strategy Team

COO Interview – Meet with our COO, who currently leads the function.

CEO Interview – A one-on-one conversation with our CEO to discuss alignment on vision, culture, and long-term goals.

Team Interview and Final Decision – A Brief interview with the rest of the Founder / Finance team. We’ll follow-up within a few days with our final decision, and if positive we’ll request references.
