About Role:
As the Head of Finance, you will be responsible for establishing and leading the financial function of our Bahrain operations as we expand into GCC. You will play a critical role in ensuring financial compliance, shaping commercial strategy, and managing local and regional financial operations. This is a high-impact leadership role for a commercially astute finance professional with experience in high-growth fintech or payments environments.
Key Responsibilities:
Strategic Finance & Leadership

Develop and execute the financial strategy for the Bahrain business unit in alignment with global objectives.

Advise the leadership team on financial planning, funding, and investment decisions.

Build and lead a high-performing local finance team as the operation scales.
Financial Operations & Reporting

Oversee all accounting, budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting functions.

Ensure compliance with Bahrain legal, and regulatory requirements (e.g. VAT, CBB reporting).

Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and management reports.
Treasury & Cash Flow

Manage working capital, cash flow, and liquidity planning for the Bahrain entity.

Optimize local banking relationships and FX exposure in a multi-currency environment.
Risk & Controls

Establish financial controls and processes that support operational excellence and scalability.

Mitigate financial and regulatory risks through robust internal controls and audits.
Market Entry & Expansion Support

Support entity setup, licensing, and registration with Bahrain regulatory authorities.

Conduct market analysis, cost modeling, and pricing support for local product offerings.

Collaborate cross-functionally with Legal, Compliance, Product, and Commercial teams to enable successful market penetration.
Preferred Qualifications & Experience:

Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field; MBA or professional accounting qualification (e.g. CPA, ACCA, CIMA) preferred.

8–12 years of finance experience, with at least 3 years in a senior leadership role.

Proven track record in fintech, payments, or financial services – ideally in emerging markets

Deep understanding of Bahrain financial, and regulatory frameworks.

Strong commercial acumen and business partnering capability.
