🎯 The Role

This is a hands-on, builder role for a finance leader who thrives in high-growth environments. You'll own the entire financial function—from strategic planning to day-to-day operations—and partner directly with the founding team.

What You'll Build:

Strategic Finance

• Drive financial planning, budgeting, and forecasting to support rapid scaling
• Build and maintain sophisticated financial models for growth planning and scenario analysis
• Partner with executive leadership on unit economics, capital efficiency, and strategic resource allocation
• Establish the financial operating rhythm and discipline for a high-velocity SaaS business

Finance Operations

• Transition financial operations from external/fractional support to a fully-owned internal function
• Scale accounting infrastructure, financial systems, and reporting workflows
• Implement controls, policies, and governance frameworks appropriate for the company's growth stage
• Drive cross-functional alignment on financial planning and business operations

Analytics & Reporting

• Design the company's financial dashboard and KPI framework
• Deliver clear, actionable insights that drive executive decision-making
• Ensure real-time visibility into cash position, revenue trajectories, and expense management

Capital & Growth

• Maintain fundraising readiness with current financial materials and investor reporting
• Lead diligence preparation and investor communications
• Manage non-dilutive funding opportunities including grants and other capital sources

Compliance & Risk

• Ensure compliance with tax, regulatory, and audit requirements
• Build scalable risk management and internal control frameworks
• Partner with external advisors on legal and compliance matters

✅ Ideal Candidate Profile

Background:

• 8+ years in senior finance roles with a track record of scaling startups through major growth inflections
• Big 4 experience (EY, Accenture, Capgemini, Deloitte)
• Direct experience taking a SaaS/technology company from $10M ARR revenue through $50M-$100M+ ARR
• Demonstrated ability to build finance functions from the ground up in resource-constrained, fast-paced environments

Technical Expertise:

• Deep fluency in SaaS metrics, unit economics, and revenue models
• Comfortable operating across strategic finance (modeling, FP&A) and operational finance (systems, accounting, controls)
• Proven success implementing scalable finance infrastructure and tooling
• Strong financial modeling and analytical capabilities

Leadership Qualities:

• Executive presence with ability to influence and partner effectively with founders and leadership teams
• Builder mentality with high ownership and accountability
• Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail balanced with speed of execution
• Thrives in ambiguity and rapidly changing environments
