About the role

Lean is entering its next phase as a multi-product, verticalized commercial organisation. As part of this shift, we're hiring a senior leader to own our Remittance GTM across the UAE and KSA, one of the most strategically important and high-consumption segments for Lean.

This role is responsible for how Lean lands, grows, and scales inside remittance providers, payout platforms, stablecoin driven corridors, and global money movement companies. You will own the GTM strategy, revenue growth, and market capture for the remittance vertical.

We're looking for someone who understands remittance economics, stablecoin flows, payout liquidity, treasury operations, compliance requirements, and the competitive landscape - and can convert that knowledge into a repeatable, scalable GTM engine.

The Moment

Lean has tripled in size over the past twelve months. We're on track to triple again next year.

What started as the region's pioneering Open Finance platform is now becoming something bigger: a multi product infrastructure company powering payments, data, and lending across MENA. We're expanding into new markets, opening offices, acquiring businesses, and building capabilities that didn't exist here before.

We've processed billions of dollars in transactions. We're trusted by 300+ clients - from Binance and Careem to Etisalat - and backed by General Catalyst, Sequoia, and Shorooq. Our $67.5M Series B was just the beginning.

What you'll own
  • Vertical Strategy & Ownership

    • Own the full P&L, GTM strategy, and market penetration for the Remittance vertical.

    • Define the vertical roadmap: payout flows, liquidity management, treasury ops, KYC/AML workflows, corridor specific needs, and settlement paths. Build and execute a scalable GTM model: segmentation of global remitters, payout networks, crypto enabled remittance firms, and enterprise remittance operators.

    • Represent the vertical in WBRs/QBRs and cross functional forums as the single threaded owner of targets, risks, and actions.

  • Enterprise Sales Leadership

    • Lead high stakes enterprise sales cycles with founders, payment leaders, compliance heads, and treasury owners inside remittance providers.

    • Own deal strategy for new logos and expansions - especially across guaranteed payments, instant withdrawals, stablecoin settlements, and payout flows.

    • Position Lean as the infrastructure partner enabling lower cost, higher reliability, and compliant money movement across the region.

  • Cross Functional GTM Execution

    • Partner with Product & Engineering to influence roadmap priorities based on corridor economics, payout SLAs, treasury constraints, fraud/compliance requirements, and operator workflows.

    • Collaborate with PMM to craft vertical specific narratives, pricing models, use case playbooks, and sales enablement assets tailored to remitters.

    • Work with CSM/SE to ensure activation excellence, operational readiness, and consumption scalability across high volume remittance accounts.

  • Client & Ecosystem Leadership

    • Act as Lean's executive face across the Remittance ecosystem - industry events, regulators, crypto settlement providers, money transfer networks, and global payout partners.

    • Build deep expertise in remittance operations: FX, liquidity, stablecoin on/off ramps, risk, treasury optimisation, fraud, KYC/AML, and compliance obligations.

    • Develop a network of advisors, operators, and strategic partners who shape GTM direction and accelerate product adoption.

  • Team Building & Vertical POD Leadership

    • Build and lead a dedicated GTM POD (AEs, CSMs, SEs) with clear KPIs, operating rhythms, and performance standards tied to remittance growth.

    • Coach and upskill talent to raise the bar on domain depth, commercial judgment, and enterprise sales execution.

    • Drive consistency, velocity, and predictability across the entire vertical motion.

What we're looking for
  • Direct experience in remittance - selling into remitters, partnering with them, or having worked inside one (traditional or stablecoin enabled).

  • Strong background in payments, payout infrastructure, or open banking - ideally including guaranteed payments, instant withdrawals, stablecoin flows, settlements, FX, or treasury ops.

  • A proven GTM leader who has built and scaled enterprise motions from scratch.

  • Ability to sell and close complex enterprise deals independently.

  • Founder mode operator who can build new GTMs, not just run existing playbooks.

  • Relationship first leader who builds trust quickly and operates comfortably with founders and C suites.

  • Strong cross functional influence across Product, Solutions, CS, RevOps, and leadership.

  • Experience navigating regulated financial environments; MENA experience is a plus but not a blocker if industry depth is exceptional.

NB. While we think the above experience could be important, we're keen to hear from people that believe they have valuable experience to bring to the role. If you identify with the team and mission, but not all of our requirements, then please still apply

Why Join us?

We're building the financial infrastructure for MENA. Not as a slogan, as a fact.

Since 2019, we've become the first regulated Open Banking and Open Finance company operating across the UAE and Saudi Arabia. We've processed billions of dollars. We connect millions of accounts. We enable companies like Binance, Careem, and Etisalat to build products that were previously impossible in this region.

Our recent $67.5M Series B from General Catalyst and Sequoia isn't just validation: it's fuel. We're expanding into new markets, launching new products, and setting the pace for what financial innovation looks like in MENA.

We solve hard problems. We move fast. We hold ourselves to a high standard. And we're looking for people who've done this before to help us do it right.

If you're motivated by building something that lasts, not just something that scales, Lean is where you need to be.

Not only do we offer competitive salaries, private healthcare, and flexible office hours, but we also insist that every member of the team hold a meaningful equity stake in the business to ensure long term alignment. We'd love you to join us for this journey!

Lean is proud to be an equal opportunity workplace and is an affirmative action employer. We are committed to equal employment opportunity regardless of race, color, ancestry, religion, sex, national origin, sexual orientation, age, citizenship, marital status, disability, gender identity or Veteran status.

When applying for a job at Lean Technologies, we will need to collect, use and share Personal Data about you with different members of our team during the application process. This may mean transferring your data to members of the team in one of our office locations worldwide outside of the country you are in.
