About the Company

A well-established luxury retail group in the GCC, operating a portfolio of high-end retail outlets, workshops, and corporate entities, is seeking a Head of Internal Audit to strengthen governance, risk management, and internal controls across the Group.

The organization is known for its long-standing market presence, strong brand reputation, and commitment to operational excellence.


Role Overview

The Head of Internal Audit will lead the internal audit function and provide independent assurance to senior leadership. The role plays a critical part in evaluating financial integrity, operational efficiency, and risk exposure across retail, manufacturing, inventory, and corporate functions.

This position offers significant visibility across the business and close interaction with executive management.


Key Responsibilities

Audit & Assurance

  • Develop and execute a risk-based internal audit plan across group entities
  • Conduct audits covering retail operations, inventory, cash handling, procurement, and financial reporting
  • Assess internal controls, governance frameworks, and compliance with policies and regulations

Risk & Control

  • Identify enterprise risks, control gaps, and process inefficiencies
  • Recommend practical, value-adding improvements
  • Support fraud prevention, investigations, and control enhancements

Reporting & Stakeholder Engagement

  • Prepare and present clear audit reports with actionable recommendations
  • Track remediation of audit findings to closure
  • Liaise with external auditors and advisors as required

Advisory & Improvement

  • Provide advisory input on new initiatives, systems, and business changes
  • Support continuous improvement of internal controls and governance practices


Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
  • 8+ years of internal audit or risk experience
  • Background in retail, luxury, manufacturing, or inventory-intensive businesses
  • Professional certification (CIA, ACCA, CPA, CA)
  • Strong commercial awareness, integrity, and independence
  • Excellent analytical, communication, and stakeholder management skills
