Head of IT (Education)

Job scope

1. IT Network Management:

• Oversee the design, implementation, and maintenance of the network infrastructure, ensuring reliability, security, and scalability.
• Manage network resources, including internet connectivity, Wi Fi networks, and internal communications systems.
• Implement and maintain cybersecurity measures to protect school data and IT assets.

2. IT Applications Management:

• Manage the selection, deployment, and maintenance of educational and administrative software applications.
• Ensure seamless integration of various IT applications to enhance productivity and user experience.
• Knowledge of systems such as Seesaw, iSAMS is a plus.
• Oversee the development and maintenance of the website and online learning platforms.

3. Team Leadership and Management:

• Lead, mentor, and develop the IT team, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and professional growth.
• Manage the IT department's budget, ensuring cost effective use of resources.
• Collaborate with academic and administrative staff to understand and address their IT needs.

4. Technical Support and Training:

• Oversee the provision of technical support to staff, learners and parents, ensuring timely resolution of IT issues.
• Develop and deliver IT training programs to enhance the digital literacy of the community.
• Maintain an up to date IT helpdesk system for efficient issue tracking and resolution.

5. Compliance and Data Management:

• Ensure compliance with relevant data protection regulations and policies.
• Oversee data management processes, including data storage, backup, and recovery.

6. Vendor and Stakeholder Management:

• Manage relationships with IT vendors and service providers, ensuring quality and cost-effectiveness.
• Coordinate with external stakeholders, including regulatory bodies and technology partners.
