To strengthen our leadership team in Salalah, we are seeking an experienced Head of IT Security (Energy) to oversee cybersecurity strategy and safeguard mission-critical systems.

Role Overview

The Head of IT Security (Energy) will be responsible for leading cybersecurity initiatives, managing risk, and ensuring compliance with industry standards. This role requires deep technical expertise, strategic vision, and strong leadership to protect sensitive energy infrastructure from evolving threats.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement IT security strategies tailored to the energy sector.
• Oversee cybersecurity operations, including monitoring, incident response, and threat management.
• Collaborate with engineering and operations teams to secure critical infrastructure.
• Ensure compliance with international security standards and regulatory requirements.
• Lead risk assessments and vulnerability management programs.
• Mentor and guide IT security staff to build organizational resilience.
• Prepare detailed reports and present findings to senior leadership.
• Drive innovation in cybersecurity practices and technologies.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or related field.
• 10+ years of experience in IT security, with at least 5 years in a leadership role within the energy sector.
• Proven expertise in securing critical infrastructure and industrial control systems.
• Strong knowledge of cybersecurity frameworks, risk management, and compliance standards.
• Excellent leadership, organizational, and communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic environment.
• Fluency in English; Arabic is a strong advantage.

Pay: Up to RO3,400.000 per month
