Head of Laboratory

Dubai Camel Hospital is seeking an experienced and motivated Medical Laboratory Technologist – Team Leader (General Laboratory) to join our Laboratory Department. This is an excellent opportunity for a qualified laboratory professional to lead laboratory operations, maintain quality standards, and support the delivery of high-quality diagnostic services in a specialized veterinary healthcare environment.

Position Details

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise all sections of the general laboratory, including Hematology, Biochemistry, Immunology, Parasitology, and Routine Testing.
• Ensure accurate, reliable, and timely reporting of laboratory test results.
• Manage daily laboratory operations and workflow.
• Lead, supervise, and schedule laboratory staff while setting and monitoring performance KPIs.
• Train, mentor, and evaluate laboratory personnel and ensure compliance with Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
• Prepare, review, and maintain laboratory quality documentation, including SOPs, policies, logs, and records.
• Monitor Quality Control (QC) and Quality Assurance (QA) processes.
• Manage laboratory inventory and coordinate procurement activities.
• Ensure compliance with laboratory safety, biosecurity, and infection control procedures.

Qualifications & Skills

• Bachelor's Degree in Medical Laboratory Technology (MLT) or a related field.
• Valid MOCCAE, DHA, MOH, or HAAD License, or eligibility to obtain one.
• Minimum 3–5 years of experience in a general veterinary or medical laboratory.
• Previous team leader or supervisory experience is preferred.
• Strong understanding of laboratory operations, workflows, and best practices.
• Experience with quality management systems, accreditation standards, and laboratory documentation.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
• Proficiency in Laboratory Information Systems (LIS).
• A valid UAE Driver's License is mandatory for this position due to the work location

Preferred Experience

• UAE laboratory experience.
• Experience handling audits, inspections, and accreditation processes.

Pay: From AED1.00 per month
