We are partnering with a fast-growing international fintech venture headquartered in Dubai, building a next-generation financial platform that combines payments, digital assets, and investment services.

The company is currently operating in stealth mode while developing its MVP and progressing through regulatory licensing across multiple jurisdictions. The organization already consists of 100+ professionals representing more than 20 nationalities, with teams across the Middle East and Europe.

The platform is designed to redefine how people interact with money, creating a unified financial ecosystem that bridges traditional finance, digital payments, and crypto assets.

This represents an exciting opportunity to join at an early but well-funded stage, where the legal function will play a key role in supporting product development, regulatory strategy, and international expansion.

The role also includes leading a small legal team and helping build scalable legal processes as the organization grows.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide legal guidance on fintech operations covering payments, digital assets, and financial services regulation
  • Support regulatory licensing and market expansion across the UAE and MENA region
  • Draft and negotiate complex commercial and partnership agreements with financial institutions, payment processors, and technology vendors
  • Ensure compliance with financial regulations including AML, KYC, and data protection frameworks
  • Advise senior leadership on corporate governance, regulatory risk, and legal strategy
  • Manage relationships with external counsel and regulatory authorities
  • Establish contract lifecycle management processes and legal documentation standards
  • Oversee employment legal matters including UAE Labour Law compliance and global workforce policies
  • Maintain corporate structure governance across multiple jurisdictions
  • Ensure compliance with data protection regulations including GDPR and regional equivalents
Ideal Profile
  • 8+ years of legal experience within fintech, financial services, banking, or digital asset environments
  • Strong knowledge of payments regulation, licensing processes, and financial compliance frameworks
  • Experience supporting regulated fintech platforms or financial products
  • Proven ability to manage or mentor a small legal team
  • Excellent contract drafting and negotiation skills
  • Strong business acumen and ability to work closely with cross-functional teams
  • Fluency in English
