Position Overview

The Head of Manufacturing and Procurement is responsible for the overall sourcing, planning, and purchasing of components, product development and manufacturing through both overseas and domestic resources. They will work closely with the engineering team to anticipate new and existing product needs. They will cover everything from inventory management to supplier relations worldwide. This pivotal role involves overseeing end-to-end production processes, optimizing supply chain efficiency, and ensuring the seamless delivery of high-quality products

What You’ll Do

• Execute purchasing processes to support new product development schedule, launches, and existing product improvements
• Develop and execute manufacturing strategies aligned with overall business objectives, focusing on efficiency, quality, and cost reduction
• Product inventory management
• Forecast inventory needs to maintain stock levels and avoid backlogs
• Coordinate product development and purchasing to best utilize the available resources

Who You Are

• A minimum of 5 years of procurement and manufacturing experience
• Demonstrated expertise in procurement processes, including supplier selection, contract negotiation, and purchasing strategies.
• Familiarity with lean manufacturing methodologies to improve productivity and reduce waste.
• Strong understanding of logistics management, quality assurance standards, and safety regulations within a manufacturing environment
• Exposure to or familiarity with electrical grid operations, power management systems, and solar/battery energy ecosystems.
• Strong problem-solver to recognize arising issues, break down tasks into logical, measurable, and actionable steps to closure.
• **Must have an Engineering background and experience in Engineering component purchasing is strongly preffered**
• Proficient with Microsoft 360 Suite (Word, Excel, PPT) and Google Suite (Docs, Sheets, Slides).
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
