Description:
Company: Noisy Creek, Inc.
Location: Seattle, WA
Reports to: Director of Events, Noisy Creek
Salary Range: $90,000 - $110,000
Noisy Creek, the parent company of The Stranger, Portland Mercury, Chicago Reader, EverOut and Bold Type Tickets, is seeking a Head of Marketing & Creative for our events division, Noisy Productions.
Noisy Productions produces bold, culture-defining experiences that bring our readers and communities together. At the center of this work is the internationally touring HUMP! Film Festival — a one-of-a-kind celebration of sex-positive, DIY cinema that has been smutting up screens since 2005. Today, HUMP! is our flagship event and a major revenue driver, with live in-person screenings across the U.S., Canada and Europe, as well as online streaming experiences that reach audiences worldwide. We anticipate many exciting and entrepreneurial concepts for the future, which this role would be critical in helping to create.
In addition to HUMP!, Noisy Productions curates a growing catalogue of revenue-generating and brand awareness events including live comedy shows, political candidate forums, citywide promotional weeks, and other large-scale (500+ attendee) events.
The Role
The Head of Marketing & Creative is responsible for leading the marketing strategy, creative vision, and audience growth for the HUMP! Film Festival and Noisy Creek’s expanding live events portfolio.
We are looking for an entrepreneurial individual who can simplify and scale event marketing systems and produce polished, impactful campaigns that capture the bold, independent voice of our brands, all in the service of expanding the reach and revenue of events. HUMP! is the primary focus — expanding live screenings across North America and Europe while growing our global streaming audience — but this role will also be crucial in guiding and executing marketing for other large-scale events in partnership with Noisy Creek's publications.
The ideal candidate is a strategic marketer and creative leader in equal measure: someone who can dream up strong, innovative campaigns, translate them into effective multi-channel marketing, and use data and analytics to drive smarter decisions as our events portfolio grows. This is a strategic, creative, and operational role — ideal for someone who thrives on both big-picture vision and hands-on execution.
The role will manage and mentor team members, including a Digital Strategy & Community Engagement Manager (who oversees social media, websites, and SEO) and freelance/contract designers, and collaborate closely with marketing coordinators at each Noisy Creek publication and with a team managing newsletters and email campaigns.
