AZTAL is a full service digital agency operating on a three pillar model: Design, Development, and Marketing.

Our Bahawalpur office is the branch office of AZTAL Islamabad and serves local and international clients, including the DACH and wider European region. Design and Development already have strong leadership in place; Marketing is the final leadership seat and a hiring priority.


Role Overview  

The Head of Marketing owns campaigns, clicks, leads, and conversions for AZTAL clients. This role combines strategic leadership with hands on execution across SEO, paid media, social, content, and analytics. You will rebuild the Marketing pillar in Bahawalpur, starting with some existing team members, and grow a complete team over time.

Key Responsibilities  

1. Strategy and Planning

- Develop end to end digital marketing strategies per client, from audience research to platform mix, budgets, and KPIs.  

- Apply AZTAL’s Pipe Model: content, platforms, and organic versus paid flows.  

- Choose channels based on data, not assumptions, and balance long term organic with paid acceleration.  

- Present strategies clearly to clients and internal stakeholders.


2. Organic Marketing

- Lead SEO: keyword research, on page optimization, content plans, and technical audits.  

- Oversee social media: content calendars, posting, and community engagement.  

- Drive content marketing: blogs, authority content, email nurturing, and lead magnets.  

- Build LinkedIn positioning for founders and brands where relevant.  

- Own email marketing strategy and automation for clients and AZTAL.


3. Paid Marketing

- Plan and run campaigns on Google Ads, Meta Ads, TikTok Ads, and LinkedIn Ads.  

- Structure accounts for scale and ongoing optimization.  

- Manage budgets with a clear ROAS and CPL focus.  

- Run systematic A/B tests and retargeting funnels.


4. Analytics and Reporting

- Implement tracking using GA4, Tag Manager, and platform pixels.  

- Build dashboards in Data Studio and maintain reporting in Sheets and internal tools.  

- Monitor campaigns daily and make data based optimizations.  

- Deliver weekly performance reports and monthly deep dive reports with insights and next steps.


5. Team Leadership

- Directly manage and mentor current team and future hires.  

- Plan and prioritize hiring for SEO, Social Media, and Content roles.  

- Run weekly one to one sessions and campaign review meetings.  

- Build clear learning paths and internal training material for marketing roles.


6. Cross Pillar Collaboration 

- Work with Head of Design for creatives and social assets.  

- Work with Head of Development for landing pages, tracking, and CRO.  

- Feed marketing insights back into Design and Development to improve the full system.


7. Client Facing Marketing Leadership

- Join marketing kickoff calls and translate business goals into channel strategy.  

- Present campaigns and results to clients in simple, business friendly language.  

- Manage expectations on SEO timelines versus paid results.  

- Handle marketing related escalations with clear analysis and action plans.


8. AZTAL’s Own Marketing

- Own AZTAL Bahawalpur and overall AZTAL brand marketing and lead generation.  

- Manage the website, content, and social presence to drive inbound leads.  

- Build case studies and proof of work for sales and positioning.


Key Deliverables

  • Per client:  Strategy document, properly configured campaigns, weekly and monthly reports, content calendars, and creative briefs.  
  • Ongoing: Updated dashboards, weekly and monthly department reports, AZTAL marketing content, and case studies.


Success Metrics (KPIs)

- ROAS at or above agreed targets (aiming for 3x or higher depending on context).  

- Lead volume and CPL within or better than client targets.  

- Meaningful organic traffic growth for SEO clients.  

- Social engagement rates around or above three percent on managed accounts.  

- On time delivery of campaigns and reports.  

- Client satisfaction scores on marketing work.  

- Documented skill growth of junior team members.


Required Technical Skills

- Expert: Google Ads (Search, Display, Shopping, YouTube), Meta Ads.  

- Advanced: TikTok Ads, LinkedIn Ads.  

- Expert: SEO (on page, off page, technical) with tools such as Ahrefs or SEMrush, Screaming Frog, Search Console.  

- Expert: GA4 and Tag Manager.  

- Advanced: social media management tools (Buffer, Hootsuite, or similar).  

- Advanced: email marketing and automation (Mailchimp, ConvertKit, or ActiveCampaign).  

- Advanced: content strategy and copywriting for ads, landing pages, and long form.  

- Advanced: CRO and UX feedback using tools like Hotjar and Optimize.  

- Advanced: data visualization and reporting in Data Studio and Sheets.  

- Comfortable using AI tools such as ChatGPT and Jasper to support research and production.


Required Soft Skills

- Strong strategic thinking with a clear link between business goals and channel plans.  

- Data driven mindset; you default to numbers and structured tests.  

- Confident client communication and presentation skills.  

- Coaching and mentoring ability for junior and mid level marketers.  

- Collaborative working style across Design, Development, and Operations.  

- Ownership mindset regarding client budgets and results.  

- Curiosity and resilience; you keep learning and adapt when campaigns underperform.


Experience

- 3 to 5 years of hands on digital marketing experience, preferably in an agency setting.  

- Proven multi channel campaign experience combining SEO, paid media, and social.  

- Experience managing monthly ad budgets in the range of 5k to 50k dollars or equivalent.  

- Experience leading or managing a small team is strongly preferred.  

- Portfolio with clear performance results and what you specifically did.  

  • Bonus: experience with DACH or European clients.  
  • Bonus: certifications such as Google Ads, Meta Blueprint, HubSpot.

- Ads: Google Ads, Meta Ads Manager, TikTok Business, LinkedIn Campaign Manager.  

- SEO: Ahrefs or SEMrush, Screaming Frog, Search Console.  

- Analytics and Reporting: GA4, Tag Manager, Data Studio, Sheets.  

- Social and Content: Buffer or Hootsuite, WordPress, Google Docs, Canva.  

- CRO: Hotjar, Optimize.  

- Operations: ClickUp.
