Role Overview

The Head of Mortgage is a senior leadership role responsible for building and scaling the mortgage vertical within Xoto’s integrated proptech ecosystem. This role will drive strategy, partnerships, revenue growth, and operational excellence while delivering a seamless digital-first mortgage experience aligned with the company’s vision.

Key Responsibilities

Strategic Leadership

• Develop and execute the mortgage business strategy aligned with Xoto’s proptech platform
• Build and scale the mortgage vertical as a core pillar of the ecosystem
• Identify strategic partnerships with banks, financial institutions, and fintech providers

Business Growth & Revenue

• Drive mortgage sales, revenue, and portfolio growth
• Establish and optimize multi-channel acquisition (digital, brokers, partnerships)
• Define pricing strategies and improve conversion funnels

Product & Platform Integration

• Collaborate with product and tech teams to build a seamless digital mortgage journey
• Enhance user experience through automation, AI insights, and simplified processes
• Ensure integration of mortgage services with property buying and home services

Risk & Compliance

• Ensure compliance with UAE regulatory frameworks and lending policies
• Partner with credit and risk teams to maintain portfolio quality
• Monitor KPIs such as approval rates, default ratios, and turnaround time

Operations & Process Excellence

• Build efficient end-to-end mortgage processes (lead to disbursement)
• Improve turnaround times through automation and digital workflows
• Oversee third-party vendors, documentation, and underwriting processes

Stakeholder Management

• Manage relationships with banks, developers, and internal stakeholders
• Act as the key liaison between mortgage, sales, and product teams

Leadership & Team Building

• Build and lead a high-performing mortgage team
• Establish a performance-driven, customer-focused culture
• Mentor and develop future leaders within the function

Key Requirements

Education & Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business, or related field (MBA preferred)
• 5–10+ years of experience in mortgage lending / retail banking
• Strong experience in UAE mortgage market and lender relationships
• Proven leadership in scaling mortgage or lending businesses

Skills & Competencies

• Deep understanding of mortgage products, underwriting, and regulations
• Strong commercial acumen and growth mindset
• Experience in digital platforms, fintech, or proptech environments is a plus
• Excellent stakeholder management and negotiation skills
• Data-driven decision-making and strategic thinking

• Mortgage portfolio growth & revenue contribution
• Conversion rates and customer acquisition cost
• Approval rates and turnaround time
• Portfolio quality (NPL, delinquency)
• Customer satisfaction and digital adoption
