Job Description:

The Head of Operations will lead end-to-end operational strategy and execution across Supply Chain, Procurement, Warehousing, Logistics, Fulfillment, and General Operations for our e-commerce business. This is a senior leadership role responsible for building scalable processes, improving service levels, optimizing cost, and ensuring seamless customer fulfilment.

Key Responsibilities

1. Supply Chain Management

  • Develop and execute end-to-end supply chain strategy aligned with business goals.
  • Ensure demand forecasting, inventory planning, and replenishment accuracy.
  • Set and monitor KPIs including fill rate, OTIF, inventory turns, and fulfilment cost.

2. Procurement & Purchase

  • Lead procurement strategy for products, packaging, consumables, and operational requirements.
  • Identify, negotiate, and manage vendor relationships to ensure cost savings and quality standards.
  • Implement strong purchase controls, vendor SLAs, and compliance.

3. Warehousing & Fulfilment Operations

  • Manage warehouse planning, layout, capacity, and process optimization.
  • Lead inbound, storage, outbound, and returns management with high accuracy.
  • Implement WMS best practices and continuously improve picking, packing and dispatch processes.

4. Logistics & Last-Mile Delivery

  • Oversee partnerships with 3PLs, courier partners, and transport vendors.
  • Monitor delivery performance, NDR, RTO, and customer delivery experience.
  • Drive cost-efficient last-mile operations and improve turnaround time.

5. Operations Excellence & Process Improvement

  • Set up SOPs, workflows, and governance mechanisms across all operations.
  • Drive automation, digitisation, and lean initiatives to improve productivity.
  • Analyse data and create dashboards to track operational health.

6. Cross-Functional Leadership

  • Work closely with Sales, Tech, Finance, and Customer Experience teams.
  • Align supply chain capabilities with business expansion plans.
  • Lead and mentor a large, diverse operations team.

7. Customer Experience

  • Ensure order accuracy, timely deliveries, and high service levels.
  • Reduce operational issues that impact customer satisfaction, returns, or escalations.

Key Skills & Competencies

  • Strong expertise in Supply Chain, Procurement, Logistics, and E-commerce operations.
  • Data-driven decision making with high proficiency in MIS & analytics.
  • Strong negotiation and vendor management skills.
  • Ability to lead large teams and manage multi-city operations.
  • Strategic thinking combined with hands-on operational execution.
  • Knowledge of WMS, ERP, logistics tech, and automation tools.

Qualification

  • MBA / PGDM in Operations, Supply Chain, or related field preferred.
  • Engineering background is an added advantage.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: ₹2,500,000.00 - ₹3,000,000.00 per year
