Head of Operations cum BDM - Events Production Industry

We are seeking an experienced and driven Head of Operations cum Business Development Manager to lead operational excellence and revenue growth within our events production business. This role combines strategic operations management with client acquisition and business development responsibilities across corporate events, exhibitions, concerts, brand activations, and experiential productions.

The ideal candidate has a strong network within the events industry, exceptional project execution capabilities, and the ability to lead teams while growing key accounts and new business opportunities.

Key Responsibilities

Operations Management

  • Oversee end-to-end event production operations including planning, execution, logistics, manpower, vendor coordination, and post-event reporting.
  • Ensure smooth delivery of events within timelines, budgets, and quality standards.
  • Manage production schedules, warehouse coordination, inventory, transportation, fabrication, and onsite operations.
  • Develop and improve SOPs, workflows, operational efficiencies, and risk management procedures.
  • Lead and supervise operations, production crews, freelancers, and subcontractors.
  • Coordinate with creative, technical, fabrication, AV, and project management teams.
  • Ensure compliance with safety regulations, permits, and venue requirements.

Business Development

  • Identify and secure new business opportunities in corporate events, exhibitions, government projects, retail activations, and entertainment events.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, agencies, venues, and strategic partners.
  • Prepare proposals, presentations, quotations, and pitch documents.
  • Lead client meetings, negotiations, and contract discussions.
  • Achieve monthly and annual revenue targets.
  • Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and emerging opportunities within the events industry.
  • Work closely with marketing and creative teams to develop winning concepts and solutions.

Financial & Strategic Responsibilities

  • Manage project budgets, costing, procurement, and profitability.
  • Track operational KPIs and business development performance metrics.
  • Support senior management in strategic planning and business expansion initiatives.
  • Improve vendor partnerships and cost optimization strategies.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Management, Event Management, Operations, Marketing, or related field.
  • Languages: English & British
  • 5–10+ years of experience in events production, experiential marketing, exhibitions, or live events industry.
  • Proven experience in both operations management and business development.
  • Strong industry network and client portfolio preferred.
  • Excellent leadership, negotiation, and communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects under tight deadlines.
  • Strong knowledge of production processes, AV, staging, fabrication, and event logistics.
  • Proficiency in MS Office, project management tools, and CRM systems.
  • UAE driving license preferred.
