As we continue to grow, we are seeking an experienced and dynamic Head of People & Culture to lead our people strategy, strengthen our culture, and help develop the next generation of leaders across the organization.
Position Overview
Reporting directly to the CEO, the Head of People & Culture serves as a strategic business partner and a key member of the leadership team. This role is responsible for developing and executing people-focused initiatives that align with Aeronet's business objectives while fostering a high-performing, engaged, and inclusive workplace.
The ideal candidate is a hands-on leader who excels at balancing strategic vision with operational execution. This individual will champion employee engagement, leadership development, talent acquisition, organizational effectiveness, and culture-building initiatives that support Aeronet's continued growth and success.
Key Responsibilities
Strategic Leadership & Organizational Development
- Partner with the CEO and executive leadership team to develop and implement people strategies that support organizational growth and business objectives.
- Lead workforce planning, succession planning, and organizational development initiatives.
- Serve as a trusted advisor to leaders on employee relations, performance management, change management, and talent strategies.
- Drive a culture of accountability, collaboration, continuous improvement, and employee engagement.
Leadership Development & Talent Growth
- Design and implement leadership development programs that build management capabilities and prepare future organizational leaders.
- Develop coaching, mentoring, and career development frameworks to support employee growth and retention.
- Partner with managers to strengthen leadership effectiveness, communication skills, and team performance.
- Create succession planning strategies to ensure a strong leadership pipeline throughout the organization.
- Identify high-potential employees and develop programs that accelerate their professional development.
Employee Relations & Culture
- Foster a positive, inclusive, and high-performing workplace culture.
- Serve as the primary resource for employee concerns, workplace investigations, and conflict resolution.
- Develop and implement employee engagement initiatives that promote retention and job satisfaction.
- Coach managers and employees on workplace issues and best practices.
Talent Acquisition & Retention
- Lead recruitment strategies to attract and retain top talent.
- Enhance employer branding and candidate experience initiatives.
- Partner with department leaders to identify workforce needs and hiring priorities.
- Develop retention strategies focused on employee development, engagement, and career growth.
Compliance & Policy Management
- Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations.
- Maintain and update HR policies, procedures, and employee handbook content.
- Conduct regular audits and assessments to ensure compliance and minimize organizational risk.
- Lead investigations and recommend appropriate resolutions when necessary.
Performance Management
- Oversee performance management processes, including goal setting, evaluations, coaching, and development planning.
- Support leaders in addressing performance concerns and implementing improvement strategies.
- Drive initiatives that improve employee productivity, accountability, and organizational effectiveness.
Compensation & Benefits
- Manage compensation strategy, salary benchmarking, and market competitiveness.
- Oversee employee benefits administration, including healthcare, retirement plans, wellness initiatives, and leave programs.
- Partner with leadership to ensure compensation and benefits programs align with business goals and employee needs.
HR Operations & Analytics
- Oversee HR systems, records management, and reporting functions.
- Utilize data and analytics to identify workforce trends and provide strategic recommendations.
- Develop key HR metrics related to retention, engagement, recruiting effectiveness, and employee development.
- Leverage HR technology, including Paycom, to streamline processes and improve efficiency.
Qualifications
Required
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Organizational Development, or related field.
- Minimum of 7 years of progressive Human Resources experience, including leadership responsibilities.
- Strong knowledge of employment law, HR best practices, and compliance requirements.
- Demonstrated success in employee relations, organizational development, talent management, and leadership coaching.
- Exceptional communication, interpersonal, and relationship-building skills.
- Strong business acumen and ability to align people strategies with organizational objectives.
- Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with professionalism and discretion.
Preferred
- Master's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field.
- SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP, PHR, or SPHR certification.
- Experience in logistics, transportation, freight forwarding, supply chain, or related industries.
- Proficiency with Paycom HRIS and payroll systems.
- Experience supporting multi-state operations.
