Executive Overview
AESOM is seeking a highly strategic and execution-focused Head of PMO to lead and institutionalize the Project Management Office for major U.S.-based construction and infrastructure projects.
This Lahore-based leadership role requires deep expertise in:
- Construction Project Management
- Project Planning & Controls (Primavera P6 / MS Project)
- U.S. Procurement & Contract Administration
- International Logistics & Supply Chain Coordination
- Site Operations Oversight
- Executive-Level English Communication
The selected candidate will establish structured PMO governance, strengthen project controls, and ensure disciplined delivery aligned with U.S. commercial and compliance standards.
This is a senior-level leadership opportunity — not a routine project manager position.
Key Responsibilities
PMO Leadership & Governance
- Establish and lead the Project Management Office framework.
- Develop standardized reporting systems, KPIs, dashboards, and governance protocols.
- Oversee multiple construction projects aligned with U.S. standards.
- Drive execution discipline across planning, procurement, and site operations.
Project Planning & Controls
- Lead scope definition, WBS development, scheduling, and cost forecasting.
- Develop and manage baseline schedules using Primavera P6 or MS Project.
- Monitor critical path activities, earned value metrics, and delay mitigation strategies.
- Implement corrective actions to safeguard project timelines and budgets.
Procurement & Contract Management
- Lead strategic sourcing, vendor prequalification, and bid evaluation.
- Negotiate subcontractor and supplier agreements.
- Ensure contractual compliance and commercial risk mitigation.
- Optimize procurement costs without compromising quality standards.
Logistics & Supply Chain Oversight
- Manage shipment coordination, customs documentation, and material tracking.
- Oversee warehousing, inventory control, and transportation scheduling.
- Mitigate supply chain risks affecting U.S. project delivery.
Site Operations Leadership
- Provide strategic oversight of construction execution activities.
- Resolve operational bottlenecks and enforce productivity standards.
- Ensure safety, quality assurance, and regulatory compliance.
Executive Communication & Reporting
- Deliver structured performance reports to senior leadership.
- Prepare high-level presentations and dashboards.
- Maintain exceptional written and verbal English communication across international stakeholders.
Risk & Performance Management
- Identify operational, financial, and scheduling risks proactively.
- Lead mitigation planning to protect margins and delivery commitments.
- Strengthen audit readiness and governance compliance.
Required Qualifications
Education:
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related field.
PMP certification strongly preferred.
Experience:
- 7+ years of experience in construction project management.
- Demonstrated exposure to U.S. construction projects (preferred).
- Strong expertise in Primavera P6 and/or MS Project.
- Proven background in procurement strategy, logistics management, and contract negotiation.
- Experience managing multi-project construction portfolios is highly desirable.
