VoltaGrid LLC is seeking a Head of Mechanical & Project Engineering in Houston, Texas. Duties and responsibilities of this position include:

Lead and oversee all engineering project initiatives within the organization and drive the successful execution of engineering projects, manage a team of engineers, and ensure technical excellence, cost efficiency, and timely project delivery. Develop and implement strategies for managing engineering projects, ensuring alignment with company objectives. Oversee the planning, execution, and completion of multiple engineering projects while maintaining high-quality standards. Define project scopes, budgets, timelines, and technical specifications in collaboration with stakeholders. Provide leadership and direction to project engineering teams to drive efficiency, innovation, and excellence. Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing team of project engineers, ensuring continuous growth and enhancement of skill. Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, and technical excellence. Recruit, train, and retain top engineering talent to support project execution and organizational growth. Ensure that engineering projects adhere to industry standards, best practices, and regulatory requirements. Drive continuous improvement in engineering project execution, including process optimization and cost reduction. Implement and enforce engineering design standards, methodologies, and best practices. Act as the primary point of contact for executive leadership, clients, and key stakeholders regarding project engineering activities. Collaborate with design, manufacturing, construction, and procurement teams to optimize project execution. Manage relationships with external partners, contractors, and regulatory bodies. Develop and manage project budgets, ensuring financial efficiency and cost control. Identify potential project risks and implement mitigation strategies to ensure successful outcomes. Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations in all project activities.

REQUIREMENTS:

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering
• 4 years of progressive experience in project engineering in a leadership role
