Job Description:
We are seeking an experienced and highly organised Head of Projects to lead and oversee interior fit- out projects from concept to completion. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 5 years of hands- on experience in managing high-end commercial, retail, hospitality, or residential interior fit-out projects. This role requires exceptional leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills to ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage all phases of interior fit-out projects, from initiation to handover.
- Coordinate with clients, consultants, contractors, and internal teams to define project scope, timelines, and deliverables.
- Prepare and manage project budgets, schedules, and procurement plans.
- Review and interpret technical drawings, specifications, and BOQs to ensure compliance with design and contractual requirements.
- Manage site operations, ensuring health & safety standards are maintained.
- Monitor and report on project progress, risks, and opportunities to senior management.
- Oversee subcontractor performance, material approvals, and quality assurance procedures.
- Facilitate regular site meetings with all stakeholders to ensure project alignment.
- Implement and enforce project management best practices and procedures.
- Provide strategic leadership and mentoring to junior project managers and site teams.
Qualifications/Requirements:
- Bachelors or Master's degree in Engineering, Architecture, Interior Design, Construction Management, or a related field.
- Minimum 5 years of proven experience managing interior fit-out projects (commercial, retail, hospitality, or residential sectors).
- Strong knowledge of interior construction methods, materials, and finishes.
- Proven track record of delivering projects on time and within budget.
- Exceptional leadership, organisational, and interpersonal skills.
- Working knowledge of Auto Cad, Sketch Up, or other design/drafting software is a plus.
- In-depth understanding of local building codes, health and safety regulations, and contract administration.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously under tight deadlines.
- Fluent in English; proficiency in Arabic is highly preferred due to the nature of client interactions and coordination with local authorities.
- Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills, with the ability to handle pressure and adapt to changing project requirements.
