Our client in the NBFC sector is looking to hire someone for the position of Head of Retail Products. The Head of Retail Products is responsible for leading the strategy, development, performance, and lifecycle management of the bank’s retail product portfolio. This role ensures that products are customer-centric, commercially viable, compliant with regulatory and Sharia (if applicable) requirements, and aligned with the organization’s strategic objectives of growth, profitability, and customer experience.
Product Strategy & Development

Define and execute the retail product strategy across deposits, lending, cards, payments, and digital products.

Identify market opportunities through customer insights, data analytics, and competitor analysis.

Lead the design, launch, enhancement, and retirement of retail products.

Ensure products meet customer needs while delivering sustainable profitability.
Portfolio & Performance Management

Own product P&L, pricing frameworks, and revenue optimization.

Monitor product performance, volumes, margins, and risk metrics.

Drive initiatives to improve product uptake, cross-sell, and customer retention.

Collaborate with Risk and Finance to ensure prudent product structures.
Customer Experience & Innovation

Champion a customer-first approach in all product initiatives.

Work closely with Digital, IT, and Operations to enhance end-to-end customer journeys.

Introduce innovative products and features leveraging technology and partnerships.

Governance, Compliance & Risk

Ensure full compliance with regulatory, internal policy, and Sharia requirements where applicable.

Lead product approvals through relevant governance committees.

Maintain robust product documentation, disclosures, and controls.
Stakeholder Management

Partner with Sales, Marketing, Branch Banking, Digital, Risk, Finance, and Operations to ensure effective product rollout and execution.

Support frontline teams with product training, tools, and sales enablement.

Engage with external partners, vendors, and FinTech as required.
Bachelor’s degree in business, Finance, Economics, or related field.
MBA or professional certifications are an advantage.
7-10 years of experience in retail banking, with at least 5 years in a senior product management or leadership role.
Strong track record in developing and managing retail banking products.
Experience in digital and customer-centric product design is highly desirable.
