Head of Supply Chain Management

Portion Brief:

The Head of Supply Chain Management is responsible for leading and optimizing the organization’s end-to-end supply chain operations, including procurement, logistics, warehousing, inventory, and vendor management. The role ensures cost efficiency, continuity of supply, compliance with local regulations, and alignment with business and project needs.

Key Responsibilities

1. Supply Chain Strategy & Governance

  • Develop and execute a company-wide supply chain strategy aligned with business and project objectives.
  • Lead annual and long-term supply chain planning, budgeting, and cost-optimization initiatives.

2. Procurement & Vendor Management

  • Oversee sourcing, tendering, contract negotiation, and supplier selection across all categories.
  • Build strategic partnerships with key suppliers to ensure quality, continuity, and competitive pricing.
  • Manage supplier performance, risk, and compliance.

3. Logistics, Warehousing & Distribution

  • Oversee inbound and outbound logistics, shipping, and customs clearance.
  • Manage warehousing, inventory accuracy, and stock optimization.
  • Ensure on-time delivery to projects, operations, and customers.
  • Implement logistics cost-reduction and service-level improvements.

4. Inventory & Demand Planning

  • Lead demand forecasting, material planning, and stock replenishment.
  • Minimize excess, obsolete, and slow-moving inventory.
  • Establish controls to ensure stock availability while maintaining optimal working capital.

5. Process Improvement & Digitalization

  • Implement ERP, supply chain systems, and reporting dashboards.
  • Drive automation, digitization, and data-driven decision making.
  • Standardize processes across all business units and sites.

6. Risk & Continuity Management

  • Develop contingency plans for supplier, logistics, and geopolitical risks.
  • Ensure supply continuity for critical materials and services.
  • Monitor market conditions and proactively mitigate disruptions.

7. Leadership & Stakeholder Management

  • Lead and develop procurement, logistics, and supply chain teams.
  • Work closely with Finance, Projects, Operations, Legal, and Commercial teams.
  • Provide executive reporting on spend, savings, supplier performance, and risks.


Qualifications & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Business Administration, Engineering, or related field.
  • 12-15+ years of progressive experience in supply chain, procurement, or logistics.
  • At least 5 years in a senior leadership role managing large teams and multi-site operations.
  • Strong experience in large-scale procurement, contracts, and supplier negotiations.
