Head of Talent Acquisition

Role Summary
Lead TechBlocks’ India people engine with a strong focus on Talent Acquisition. You will design and run a high-velocity hiring and retention model across our Ahmedabad and Hyderabad offices, supporting a multi-shore software engineering services business.
This role calls for a proven IT services leader who can drive executive search, large-scale technical hiring, vendor partnerships, and region-specific retention strategies—while maintaining strict control over cost, speed, and quality.
What You’ll Lead:
- Design and lead an India-focused TA operating model across Ahmedabad and Hyderabad, supporting global delivery teams. Drive hiring across product engineering, cloud (AWS/Azure/GCP), data/AI, QA, DevOps, architecture, and program leadership, aligned to a multi-shore services model.

Stand up 90-day hiring sprints / pilot factories aligned to account ramps with strict SLAs (time-to-offer, time-to-start, offer-to-join).

Create a tiered partner network (boutiques, specialist agencies, subcontractors) for surge capacity and niche skills at short notice; negotiate rate cards and outcome-based terms.

Drive executive hiring & talent hunting for client-facing leaders (Client Partners, Delivery Directors, Chief Architects, Practice Heads).

Build evergreen talent communities (GitHub, Kaggle, LinkedIn, meetups, universities) and referral engines; spearhead campus + lateral pipelines in India.

Implement assessment standards (tech screens, code tests, architecture cases, role simulations) with quality-of-hire feedback loops from Delivery.

Own retention and engagement programs across Ahmedabad and Hyderabad, with strong focus on offer-to-join conversion, buy-outs, counteroffers, and early-tenure retention.
Qualifications

10–15+ years of experience in IT services HR/Talent Acquisition, with at least 5+ years leading large-scale talent engines across India (Ahmedabad and Hyderabad) supporting global delivery models.

Deep fluency in India hiring dynamics (buy-outs, counters, notice periods, joining ratios)

Proven build-out of GCCs / delivery centers, surge hiring for account ramps, and executive search for client-facing leaders.

Strong vendor ecosystem management: boutiques, subcontractors, and RPOs; skilled in rate card, outcome-based and gain-share constructs.

Data-driven operator: funnels, SLAs, forecasting, capacity models; expert with ATS (Greenhouse/Lever), HRIS (Workday/Bamboo), LinkedIn Recruiter, and technical assessments (HackerRank/CodeSignal).

Cultural fluency and negotiation across India; crisp executive communication with C-suite and client leaders.
