We are partnering with a leading industrial organization in Saudi Arabia to appoint a Head of Training & Development.
The role will lead the design and execution of enterprise-wide learning and capability strategies, with a strong focus on technical workforce development, plant operations competency, and leadership pipeline building across multiple operational sites.
Responsibilities
- Develop and lead the organization's Training & Development strategy aligned with business and operational objectives
- Establish and implement competency frameworks for technical, operational, and leadership roles within industrial/plant environments
- Lead organization-wide Training Needs Analysis (TNA) focusing on plant workforce capability and technical skill gaps
- Design and implement structured technical training programs for plant, maintenance, and field operations teams
- Drive leadership development and succession planning initiatives across key functions
- Oversee onboarding and induction programs tailored to industrial workforce requirements
- Implement and manage digital learning platforms (LMS) and modern learning solutions
- Measure training effectiveness using KPIs, operational performance indicators, and ROI analysis
- Develop and enforce training policies, procedures, and governance frameworks
- Manage training budgets, vendors, and external technical training providers
- Partner with Operations, Maintenance, and Plant leadership to ensure workforce readiness and performance improvement
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in HR, Business Administration, or related field (Master's preferred)
- 6 - 10+ years of experience in Training & Development / Talent Development
- Mandatory experience in industrial, manufacturing, or plant-based environments (e.g., steel, cement, oil & gas, heavy industry)
- Proven experience in technical training programs and workforce capability development in operational environments
- Strong expertise in competency frameworks, TNA, and leadership development
- Experience managing L&D in multi-site operations
- Strong stakeholder management with exposure to senior leadership
- Ability to link learning initiatives to operational performance and business outcomes
