Paradise Christian School is looking for a Preschool-Head Start VPK Teacher/Teacher Assistant.

Requirements:

Degree in Early Childhood Education or Related field with 18 credits in Early Childhood Education.
Have DCF Child Care Introductory training requirements.
Must be energetic and love working with young children.
Speak and read English and Spanish.
Experience in Early Childhood.
Preferable experience in Head Start and/or Early Head Start.
Must be able to use a computer, and have data entry skills.
Must be able to pass FDLE level 2 background screening.
Knowledgeable with HighScope Curriculum and Creative Curriculum.
Knowledgeable with Teachstone CLASS tool.
Knowledgeable with Pyramid Model.

Responsibilities:

Educating children about fundamental concepts, such as colors, letters, numbers, and shapes.
Encouraging social interactions between children and improving their self-esteem.
Engaging in creative methods of learning, such as arts and crafts, supervised play, and storytelling.
Planning a comprehensive curriculum to address early childhood development needs.
Instilling a sense of order and discipline in the classroom.
Monitoring free time on the playground.
Ensuring the classroom is a clean, safe, and organized environment.
Preparing for lessons by gathering materials and setting up workstations.
Communicating with parents to better understand the children's home lives and psyches.
Writing up reports for parents on each child's developmental progress.
