Head Start - Preschool Lead Teacher

The Children's Community Head Start program is looking to hire a Preschool Teacher for our Port Jefferson Center. Teachers are responsible for planning and facilitating developmentally appropriate lessons, screening children for developmental delays, tracking children's progress towards school readiness goals, parent engagement and communication. We offer paid sick, personal, and vacation time after 3 months, as well as approx. 14 paid holidays per year. We offer paid tuition assistance for job related coursework after 1 year - as well as a 403b retirement plan with a 4% employer contribution after 1 year, irregardless of if the employee contributes to the plan or not. A 2 year Associates Degree in Early Childhood, or related field with an adequate number of ECE credits, is required for this position.

Pay: $19.95 - $23.34 per hour
