Job Overview
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Head Start Teacher to inspire and nurture young learners in a vibrant early childhood education setting. Duties

  • Develop and implement comprehensive curriculum plans aligned with early childhood education standards, including literacy, math, physical education, and social skills.
  • Design engaging lesson plans that incorporate Montessori methods, classroom management strategies, and differentiated instruction to meet diverse learner needs.
  • Foster a positive classroom environment through effective behavior management techniques and nurturing relationships with children.
  • Conduct ongoing assessments using standardized testing tools to monitor developmental progress and tailor instruction accordingly.
  • Collaborate with families, specialists in special education and early intervention, and community partners to support each child's welfare and educational growth.
  • Manage classroom routines, including toddler care, preschool activities, and childcare duties, ensuring safety and compliance with licensing requirements.
  • Maintain detailed records of student progress, attendance, lesson plans, and incident reports to support transparency and continuous improvement.

Experience

  • Prior experience working with children in early childhood settings such as daycare, preschool classrooms, or private schools is essential.
  • Demonstrated expertise in curriculum development across multiple domains including literacy education, math instruction, physical education, and childhood development.
  • Knowledge of special education practices, early intervention strategies, behavior management techniques, and child welfare standards.
  • Proven classroom management skills with the ability to create an inclusive environment that supports toddlers through preschool-aged children.
  • Experience with classroom experience involving teaching physical education or tutoring is advantageous.
  • Strong communication skills to effectively engage with children, parents, colleagues, and community partners.
