1. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES (KRA)
A. Strategic Procurement (Input Side):
- Sourcing: Lead the procurement of raw materials (Biomass, Organic waste, Minerals) from local aggregators. Negotiate contracts to keep production costs below benchmark.
- Vendor Development: Develop a network of reliable suppliers in UP. Break the monopoly of single vendors.
- Inventory Planning: Ensure the factory never stops due to raw material shortage, but also ensure capital is not stuck in dead stock.
B. Demand Planning & Fulfillment (The Bridge):
- S&OP Leadership: Lead the "Sales & Operations Planning" meet with the Sales Head. Translate sales forecasts into production plans. . Manage regional depots to ensure 24-hour delivery promise.
- Zero Stock-Out: Ensure that our distributors in Bulandshahr/Meerut/NCR never face a "Stock Out" situation during peak season.
- Order to Cash: Streamline the process from Order Booking -> Dispatch -> Delivery -> Payment Collection.
C. Logistics & Distribution (The Movement):
- Fleet Management: optimize the route plan for our fleet (Trucks/Pickups). Reduce Cost Per KM.
- Delhi NCR Network: Leverage your knowledge of Delhi NCR to manage logistics for both outward (Fertilizer) and inward (Crop Buyback) movement.
- Warehousing: insured the Correct Inventory management system with FIFO principle and ensure all the certification licenses & HSE parameters.
D. Market Linkage (The Buyback Specialist):
- Crop Procurement: Design the logistics for collecting "Buyback Crops" from farmers' doorsteps.
- Mandi Operations: Use your Delhi-NCR market connections to offload the bought-back crops at the best rates in mandis like Azadpur/Ghazipur or to institutional buyers.
E. Governance & Compliance (The "Paper Trail")
- In MSMEs, organic certifications and FCO (Fertilizer Control Order) compliance can be lost due to poor filing. The Head of Supply Chain must own the Traceability Audit.
F.Batch-Level Traceability: Responsibility for maintaining "Seed-to-Shelf" documentation to satisfy NPOP/PGS-India audits.
G.Legal Documentation: Managing Annual Maintenance Contracts (AMCs) with third-party logistics (3PL) and ensuring all transporters have valid insurance and "Pollution Under Control" (PUC) certificates to avoid transit seizures.
H.Vendor KYC: Implementing a mandatory "Vendor Onboarding Kit" (GST, MSME Certificate, Bank Mandate, and Quality Undertaking) to prevent legal/tax friction.
Financial Prudence & Cash Flow Management
- In an MSME, "Profit is Sanity, Cash is Queen." The SCM head must bridge the gap between procurement and the accounts team.
- Reconciliation Management: Weekly "Three-Way Match" (Purchase Order vs. Goods Receipt Note vs. Vendor Invoice) to ensure no overpayments.
- Credit Period Negotiation: Instead of just "squeezing margins," the goal should be to align vendor payment cycles with the company's "Order-to-Cash" cycle to maintain liquidity.
- Reverse Logistics Costing: Explicitly managing the cost of returns (damaged bags/rejected crops) which often bleeds MSME margins.
Quality Assurance (QA) at Source
- Since "Crop Mentor" is an organic brand, quality isn't just a checkbox; it's the value proposition.
- Inward Inspection SOPs: Creating simple, visual "Accept/Reject" charts for local aggregators to use during biomass/crop collection.
- Moisture & Contamination Control: Documentation of moisture levels at the time of procurement and during storage to prevent fungal growth (Aflatoxins), which is common in organic waste.
3. CANDIDATE PROFILE (Who fits?)
- The Agri-Expert: Must have 7-10 years of solid experience in Agri-Input (Fertilizer/Seeds) or Fresh Produce Supply Chain.
- NCR Knowledge: Strong understanding of the Delhi-NCR Transport & Mandi network is non-negotiable.
- Tech-Savvy: Must be comfortable implementing ERPs (Odoo/SAP) to track every truck and every bag.
- Negotiator: Someone who can squeeze margins from transporters and vendors, not someone who just signs bills.
- Education: MBA/PGDM from a reputed institute (NIAM, MANAGE, IRMA, or Tier-1 B-Schools preferred).
- Hands-on Crisis Manager: Ability to handle local disruptions (e.g., strike at Azadpur Mandi or a truck breakdown in a remote UP village) without waiting for the Founder’s intervention.
- Process Architect: Since it's an MSME, they shouldn't just use an ERP; they must have the logic to design the workflow within the ERP.
