Head Teacher, Pre-Toddlers Classroom

World of Wonder Childcare Center opened its doors in 2008 in Southwest Hoboken, and we’ve grown to three amazing centers full of love, laughter, and learning. Now, we’re looking for a warm, confident, and experienced Head Teacher to lead our Pre-Toddler Classroom.

Position: Full-Time Head Teacher – Pre-Toddlers
Schedule: 7:30 AM – 4:30 PM or 9:30 AM – 6:30 PM (flexibility for either shift required during first year)

Requirements:

  • CDA, AA, or BA in Early Childhood or related field (required)
  • Minimum 2 years of experience with infants/toddlers
  • Strong leadership and classroom management skills
  • CPR & First Aid Certification (or willing to obtain within 30 days)

What You’ll Be Doing:

  • Lead a nurturing, developmentally appropriate classroom for 1–2-year-olds
  • Plan daily routines, activities, and transitions with intention and love
  • Supervise, mentor, and support teacher assistants
  • Track each child’s growth and milestones
  • Foster strong relationships with families through consistent communication
  • Ensure a clean, safe, and joyful learning space
  • Comply with all licensing, health, and safety guidelines

Center Hours:
Open Monday–Friday, 7:30 AM – 6:30 PM
Closed on weekends and 14 major holidays

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From $18.50 per hour
